There's some sort of "announcement" planned for the High Performance Computing Center on April 20th. It may simply be publicity for the project but we'll see. At any rate, construction is expected to begin late this year.

"1045 West Marietta is a vacant warehouse that has been unoccupied for over 12 years. The property has been in a complete state of disrepair with no utility service and overtaken by kudzu and rubbish. We intend to fully renovate this property and make it one of the most unique loft offices in the West Midtown area. We plan on having a co-working tenant by Summer, 2016."

i dont doubt theyll make it a cool space but this is smack dab between Mcphereson Oil and a cruddy liquor store.. not an ideal office location.. but, eventually when the quarry park happens and the beltline rolls through the area things will change. i guess someone has to get things started.

NEW APPLICATION: 195 Thirteenth Street
New 27-story multifamily residential project fronting 13th Street will include 308 rental units with lobby, lounge, leasing and mailroom on the ground floor. Parking is provided in a 7-level above grade parking deck that is wrapped with residential units on the street-fronting façade and is topped with residential units and a court yard.

It's too bad there isn't a dedicated construction camera for NCR and/or Modera. By the time they start reaching the sky, the Alta camera will have been shut down.

Here's an preliminary rendering of the project which is said to be in the early design phase. So far I like it.

The developer is Miami based Lennar Multifamily Communities, a division of Lennar home builders. Their only other Georgia project is Roswell City walk apartments and they only have one highrise in their portfolio.

The preliminary design of the tower is very similar to every other Smallwood Reynolds designed apartment tower but I like what I see so far.

This week's Business Chronicle article states that they have signed the owner of The Variety Playhouse to run the concert venue and also has a new rendering. They expect to open the development in lat 2017.

A few projects appear to be very close to getting Land Development permits and are only lacking approval of one division.

Peacthree & 3rd - Plan Coordination due on 4/20/2016
Ascent Midtown - Building Plan Review "This project is a pending approval and receipt of MARTA approval letter".
Hanover Midtown - Arborist Preliminary Review. Hanover already has a midrise and highrise project under construction in Buckhead. If they continue at this rate, they are about to have four simultaneous construction projects in Atlanta.

Also Modera Buckhead has filed permits and permits were filed for this weird little retail/office expansion at Clear Creek Center.

Also Eviva Peachtree is seeking tax abatement and is scheduled to go before the Fulton County Development Authority on April 26. This means that the project is still very much alive and may even be ready to move forward.

What now Atlanta has a photo update of 782 Peachtree which will be called Trace Midtown. I love the scale and the materials used in this project. More please!!!
