Yep.

Unico's project at 16th & Platte, and the one at 15th & Platte (where Vitamin Cottage is) come to mind. I expect that we'll eventually see something proposed for the NW corner of 15th & Platte as well.

I really like those buildings (2 story BTW), they have great street presence, and are pretty unique in Denver as being in my eyes, true brownstones....so I hope they don't get torn down anytime soon. There are still quite a few parking lots along Platte between REI and 19th that could be filled.

I would support landmarking the entire row of buildings on the west side of Platte from 15th to the bridge.

Does anyone remember the info/massing model for the annex to Four Seasons? I remember someone a while back posted a picture of a massing model, but can't seem to find it in this huge thread. Thanks for any help! :-)

I believe that's the historic 3 story rounded corner brick building that could get a stepped back floor or two on top...

I'm doubting those 3 buildings housing Mona's, My Brother's Bar & Scribbles will be saved, they really aren't anything special or worth saving IMO.

I'd be super pissed if it (Brother's) did end up being torn down. My Brother's Bar is a goddamn institution, along with the Buckhorn Exchange. If there's anyplace that has been witness to Denver's history and deserves to stay where it it as, it's this bar. You could probably landmark it in a second just off the clientele who have been regulars there.

Though I'm waiting to here what's going to be developed on the SW corner of 15th & Platte. That parking lot for REI is probably one of the biggest wastes of space left along Platte Street.

Agree about My Brother's Bar. If the a-holes in Jefferson Park and West Highland think a building is worth saving because some half-famous guy's cousin's half-brother's mistress slept there once, then My Brother's Bar is a no-brainer.

As for the REI parking lot... yeah... except it is full *all the time*.

That design has been floating around for a while, but man is it underwhelming. Really wish they would have been more ambitious and envisioned a bookend that would actually compliment Union Station and help activate that area beyond bums and crack dealers.

Because if anything Denver needs two $500M transit stations. That certainly is a judicious use of transit funding.

The parcel in the foreground will eventually be redeveloped. Considerations for interim uses are being developed through the study mentioned above by Project For Public Spaces.
