Turns out Hamilton is between Toronto and Winnipeg.

But... we don't know which tower is taller, Hamilton's 43 floor Landmark Place, 127 metres, or a 40 floor tower in Winnipeg.

But just as far as recent or U/C, non-high end high-rises right downtown go, what about Massey Tower, L Tower, Five, Peter Street Condos, X, Theatre Park, Picasso, Totem, etc?

But anyway now we're getting into your other thread...
I forgot about Totem, that one is good - half the floorplans are pretty good too. Peter Street is unoffensive/neutral, so ok. The others... no lol.

They moved my thread to the Toronto section where no one ever frequents haha =(

I love it. Weren't those more of a vision though? I seem to remember that coming up a year or so ago and that's what was said.

This is Grsovenor's next site after Smith/Avenue. I read they chose Mckinley Burkart as the architect (different than design shown afaik). They do excellent design work on their smaller scale projects, interested to see what they come up with for their first high-rise project. Grosvenor also recently purchased the nearby Sony site - both planned as mixed-use.

That's exciting! I love pretty much everything I've ever seen from them.

Unless the original post was lumping Mississauga in with Toronto, there are about a half-dozen buildings completed or under construction in Mrs. Sausage that would qualify as tallest "between Edmonton and Toronto" unlikely to be exceeded by this proposal.

So I just emailed the company and they said they sold the scheme to Grosvenor as part of invited competition (already covered) and they chose a different scheme (also covered I think) however they said this one was a close second.

I'd lump it in. I'm always one for lumping in suburbs.

I would hate to be the one to start a debate about Mississauga being part of Toronto or not... that reminds me of the debate about Toronto being "in the east", or Vancouver being "on the ocean"...

Edmonton is building the tallest building east of Quebec, so that's a thing.

tallest between Edmonton and Toronto. you could get more obscure. And, it's not even the tallest proposal in Winnipeg.

Oakville is actually getting taller. I noticed they have a fairly new tallest building when I last passed though.

Re 65 King E, cool that the little promenade will wrap around along Colborne as well. Interesting to see what will go up on that large parking lot across from the nice Victorian building.

Edit: does the building get fatter in the back?

Are you guys seriously starting an argument about my "between Edmonton and Toronto" comment? It's pretty straight forward. You guys will — argue about anything though, clearly.

Come on, Chad.

That's an unnecessary bump to an exchange that had run it's course. Why would you bother?

I actually hate this. They're hiding the old structure inside a new structure. Terrible.
