Apparently it is because you obviously haven't been following them which is no surprise to me because I see stupid uninformed shit like you just posted all the time.

But I guess we'll find out tonight when they play the number 12 ELO rated Mexico.

Out of curiosity, I just googled the ranking for the Canadian men's national football team.

"Current FIFA world ranking: 87"

http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranki...men/index.html

The obvious conclusion if you're not delusional: we suck at football.

There, was that so hard?

Careful guys - he'll call you a traitor to Canada and tell you to move to the US because of your hatred for this country and your obvious love of America. It's kinda his thing.

We definitely suck but were steadily getting better and our form has improved markedly under Floro. That being said, Mexico is one of the worlds best teams so not expecting much from this game. Our attacking players are not so bad but our defence is atrocious and the formation Floro is using seems bizzare.

That's unfortunately very true.

As for Canada's soccer team, I know we're playing Mexico and we suck at the sport but what I saw in the first half is pathetic. I think I'm just gonna turn off the TV. 2-0 after 45 min is bad enough at home.

Ok for the simplistic posters here whose extent of analysis is we suck and are shit let's analyze what happened. First 20 minutes relatively equal, Canada gets good chances and does not capitalize, a definite issue for the team and something that could have changed the course and flow of the game.

Mexico comes through unscathed and then assumes control. We lose our defensive shape, which is our basic strength and are stretched across the field which is Mexico's strength.

This did not happen when we played other top countries Ghana and Colombia. The first half wasn't a collapse but damn near was. We weren't shit but we weren't good either and Mexico showed why they are a top ranked team.

This is the first time I've seen Mexico play outside Azteca where they played as well as they do at home. Outside Azteca they are usually quite ordinary hence the high expectations people had for Canada.

In the second half we came out much better, retained shape much better but when you're two down you either have to take chances or start to bunker. They struck a fair balance but couldn't sustain any decent attack again one of our weaknesses.

Fair dues to Borjan and the posts or it would have been even worse and fair dues to Mexico for being far superior on the night and showing that their success at home is attributable to more than smog, altitude and midday heat. They were terrific and showed why they are close to a top ten team.

No that's just you because of the ahole troll that you've always been and you only come out when there's safety in numbers. I'm not gutless like you, I'm here to pay the price, for my conviction.

You guys are still uninformed, you're clueless about the rankings (ELO rankings are more accurate than FIFA) you don't know anything about the team or follow them and just made some general observations that tonight actually transpired. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Oh and Berkie the Yankee wannabe, I know your sig and avatar are for trolling (no problem there, that's the extent of your contribution here) but that Hamilton is the Brooklyn of Canada is truly embarrassing for you.

Aside from tonight's poor performance tell me how. Have you even seen a game in the last year? I highly doubt it.

Ok, so now that you're our resident expert, when we play equally (this past year) with World Cup sides like Colombia, Ghana, US and Honduras and are competitive does that mean we suck?

We're ranked 26th in basketball (with less countries ranked than soccer) behind countries like Iran, Dominican Republic and Tunisia does that mean we suck at basketball?

What sucks is your guy's simplistic generalized comments based on ancient history without any recent input and your blind arrow shot actually hit the target tonight.

Another personal attack. Stay classy.

"Pay the price for my conviction"?
Dude, seriously - it's time to step away from the keyboard. You get so angry when someone disagrees with you. You're a one-man Canadian Defence Team - patrolling our streets from very bad men. Breathe deeply... everything will be alright.

I have no dog in this fight, but do you not see how condescending and patronizing you are with your comments? Yes, you're right... Canada has a really good soccer team. Can't wait to see them in the World Cup!

I'm not sure if I should envy you or feel sorry for you.
Your life is either so great that you have no other worries in life outside of sports (since I never see you post to a non-sports related thread), or your life is so sad that you have nothing but sports to focus on. For your sake, I hope it's the former and not the latter.

I'm not the one who came up with "Brooklyn of Canada". I'm just quoting the many articles (Canadian and US) that have stated that.
Surprised you took offense to that - since that's actually a positive thing to say about a Canadian city. Would you have been happier if Hamilton was described as "the Cleveland of Canada"? Because that would be an insult to a city in a country you love so much. You're a confusing person.

In any case, thanks for the laughs. Seeing someone get so riled up about things that are so trivial is hilarious... and a bit disturbing.

Tomorrow's Saturday... I recommend going outside and getting some fresh air and try enjoying life.

EDIT: I see while I was typing - you went on a rampage. Thanks again!

Im hearing over 60% Mexican supporters. Also the world is laughing at Canadian soccer supporters because our "soccer song battle cry thing" is literally "who ha canada who ha canada". Twitter is having a hay day with this. And to make things worse Snapchat made a global story about this game. Honestly this whole "OVER HERE!! OVER HERE!! LOOK AT US EUROPE!!" Thing that Canadian soccer fans are doing is sort of pathetic

Calling me a Yankee doesn't offend me. Because unlike you, I don't hate things that are not Canadian. Life is too short to hate people/things that are different than me.
But you're probably a racist - so living this way is fine by you.
