The difference in height has nothing to do with the below grade activities. Bedrock is 65 metres deep at Yonge and Bloor . The roughly 50 metre caisson foundation took a lot of time. Same with Stantec with caissons double as long. It is also built next to one subway line.

All I know, is that One Bloor took a damn long time, by the time it is complete it will easily have been 10 years from site clearing to completion probably a lot longer than that.

Digging on site began Aug. 2011, so it's been 4 1/2 years so far...
Crane was installed Sept. 2012, so actual construction began 3 1/2 years ago...

Not my intention at all. You say weird 🞵🞵🞵🞵. I have equipment with the latest stabilizing tech and pictures still turn out out of focus. Don't even get me started on phone shots. What does wealth have to do with it? A $100,000 phone is pretty much the same as the latest $1000 phone. The major different is the case.

I hope they do a good job with that project, it looks complex. I wouldn't want to see cracks in the walls due to the exterior and interior foundations settling at different rates.

It's all welded together sitting on a new foundation three storeys deeper than it was originally. Strong possibility it's now carved into bedrock.
