Makes sense. With a tower of this size they will need to phase move ins so completion doesn't mean move in. They did that with Park Place and do it with many towers where they stagger over a month or so the actual closings of each unit in phases. Floors 1 -> 10 the first week, 11 -> 20 the second, 21 -> 30 the third, remaining -> 4th for example.

7 more floors to go until the Hotel portion tops out, then construction will really pick up on the residential tower, with a concrete pour that is 50% of what it has been to date.

Doubt it will be a chain restaurant. Probably something that's unique to the Marriott Autograph brand.

She's a monster looking from the east and the west.

Find especially when travelling west on 104 Avenue around 138 Street.

I'll reserve judgment on the look (like any other building) until it is completed. In that photo though it is difficult to not judge the look as anything other than "dull" but it's a pretty grey and dull day with no direct Sun.

Hotel side is going up another level today. Maybe the last?

Huh, you're right - 3 Civic's facebook says the hotel has topped out:

Actually the Civic 3 Facebook Page is wrong. There are 2 more levels to go plus an amenity level from what you see in that pic.

There are 9 hotel levels above the mechanical level on the office/condo side.

They are currently working on 8 (just raised to this level today but not shown in the pic). So 1 more regular level to go and a double height amenity level after that.

no matter what floor they're on now, looking at the most recent diagram, this one will be really tall when done...

Thanks.
I thought the count was off, that's why I said "huh".

WRT the height, hopefully Brentwood will set a good example once the first few tall towers have been completed and other cities will raise their height limits.

Are there hard height limits in Surrey?
