I'm sure it will take over the moniker from the dearly departed Penn Coach Yard Chimney in time should it be built as depicted.

In the meantime, how about calling it the Way Elevated New Drexel Yellowish Tower.

This is a glorious master plan released with "We'll replace a parking lot with a nice park and renovate the current 3-4 story tall building". Unless they announce at the press conference today that they have legit plans for the first of many buildings, all it is is a more hopeful version of River City. I'm happy to see it and its fun, but its I'm not seeing an announced project here...just an announcement that there will eventually be an announced project...which I have absolutely no idea when it will come. BUT, you are much more experienced with these things, so I defer to you on when we might see the first building start that would be on par with even the cira center or Evo (which are apparently the smaller of all these buildings).
I would be shocked if we didn't see an announcement today for the first tower. Drexel themselves have said they are ready to make an announcement on the first tower in the innovation neighborhood. Guess we'll see

I agree with Summers in that Drexel and especially Brandywine have a proven track record of getting things done. One poster mentioned this in the same sentence with River City - really? Come on dude. And I'm also hopeful that one tower will be proposed today. Brandywine is sitting on too much capital right now and we all knew something big was imminent. This is it people. Stop being so negative.

I don't like the new facade on the Bulletin building.

Brandywine didn't raise capital for no reason, clearly they are getting ready to do something significant and soon.

PS. Get off the site, I want to look and it clearly only allows 3, 4 tops at a time on there.

Wow, this completely changes Philadelphia. I am so ready for this. Imagine if the first tower announced was the supertall LOL.

Sorry it isn't an approved image host, so hopefully this posts, but HERE is another shot I found digging through that site's source code.

Nope but this was found in that page's source code.

According to its code, the gallery is only 5 images, all of which we have seen now that I posted this one.

Can we get them to put a gondola lift between the Fairmount/Spring Garden section and Schuylkill Yards? This area is going to need more direct transit routes.

Amazing. I walk from 30th street to HUP all the time and that strip is terrible. Love it.

Imho, far too much effort has been put into multiple angle renderings for this to be little more than a master plan. I wonder which (maybe more than 1) comes first?

One part of the Drexel plan that is and will be fantasy is taking out the freight rail (highline)

That ain't happening. No way. No how. Not ever.

It's still in all of the renderings. I don't think they're planning to try to remove it.

EDIT: THE GALLERY IS LIVE. Just 5 photos as expected.
