I remember seeing the 787 with my eye for the very first time a couple of years ago at YYZ. That particular one was in LOT colours. Nice looking plane.

It surprises me a little to see Aer Lingus flying the 757 into Toronto. I thought Aer Lingus' fleet is now entirely Airbus. I guess the 757 is being wet leased from another company or something.

Great work G.S.MTL! That's a very good post.
To add to it, Air Berlin don't currently fly into Pearson, and as far as I know there are no plans for them to start doing so this year. Brussels airlines will commence daily direct flights to Brussels using A330. Additionally, Philippines Airlines doesn't fly directly to Manilla, the flight stops each way in Vancouver.

Yes, the B757 is on a damp lease from ASL Airlines.

well I checked for Philippine Airlines and there are 3 DIRECT flights Tuesday, Friday and Sunday according to their site with just 1 stop it YVR , and other flights with connection in YVR with westjet. Thanks for the compliment! Brussels airlines is 5 weekly.

Philippine Airlines stops in Vancouver to pick up passengers, but it should still be on Toronto's list as well because it cannot transport passengers from Toronto to Vancouver, so all passengers boarding in Toronto can only go to Manila. Therefore it is still a direct destination.

However, I have an issue with Air Canada's Sydney flight being on there. While technically it is called direct because the flight # carries through, you can book that exact same flight (AC33) from Toronto to Vancouver. Meaning that plane could theoretically have 99% booked and disembark in Vancouver, but because the flight # continues on, it is called a Toronto-Sydney flight. Toronto also uses this to say it has flights to all 6 continents, while by the technical definition its true, its misleading. Before AC started flying non-stop from YVR to Sydney, the plane (and same flight #) went YVR-Honolulu-SYD. But it wasn't until it went non-stop that we were considered to have a flight to Australia. Yet Toronto considers the Sydney flight on their international list. In the reverse direction, all arriving passengers have to clear Canada customs on arrival in Vancouver, and then if they continue to Toronto, they re-board. So it is on that list by a very generous definition, in my opinion

Good job! Icelandair is a mix of 757/767 for S16. WOW is also starting flights same frequency as Montreal I believe.

Otherwise, I think it's all good! PS- Finnair flies seasonal A333 to Toronto in the summer, but I can't confirm if this flight operates this summer. I can't seem to book it but there are no news saying it is discontinued.

Seems like a waste of aircraft to operate for just 4 weeks.

You're right, it is by definition a direct flight, I meant it's not a non-stop flight, as I interpreted your post listing Manila to be. i.e. You don't take off at Pearson and your next landing is at Manila.

I can't seem to book anything in August either. It's all via LHR or JFK.

Short sighted imo - they could've made this one work year round given the favourable connections to countless Russian cities and the elimination of YYZ's Aeroflot and Transaero routes.

YYZ has non-stop to Europe tied down. I'm waiting on JU's BEG service in 2018. Hopefully JFK works for them.
