That's very vague on their part. But still I don't see where they would need to do as much work as what they just did. The track is pretty much straight between Nanaimo and Edmonds (where they already did the work). The only real length of track that I can think of is between Waterfront and Burrard.

I love the wooden trestle they had behind the maintenance facility. You wouldn't see something like that built today.

If you search around the archives files, there's an engineer / photographer named Al Ingram who took a lot of pics of SkyTrain construction.

Go to this page to see his photographic series:

http://searcharchives.vancouver.ca/ingram-al

Look in the left margin and click on a series (i.e. ALRT Granville/Stadium)

Under "Arrangement" it will cite an archive file number (or series) for the relevant pics.
(i.e. "Photographs in this file have been assigned item numbers within the range(s): CVA 800-4184 to CVA 800-4186"

"Search" the item number(s) (i.e. CVA 800-4184")
and you'll pull up pics like this one of the Stadium Station tunnel excavation (where they tunneled to meet the Dunsmuir Tunnel).

In the left side directory of the found pic, related pics will be in numerical order, so once you search the lowest item (pic) number, the others in the series will be in sequence.

Note one tube is higher than the other - transitioning form stacked to side-by-side.

They shouldn't have had the sweep at the muddle of the train since it's a 4-car set.

What has Bateman said that is incorrect? I don't think you know what troll means.

"In the middle of the tax-hike campaign, TransLink demoted CEO Ian Jarvis -- but they are still paying him his $400,000 salary.

Meanwhile, they're paying the acting TransLink CEO $35,000 a month!

Plus TransLink is advertising for a new CEO, and according to the "help wanted" ad, that generous pay structure will stay the same.

This is the same government monopoly that "needed" extra taxpayer millions?

Jordan tells us about the many fancy "perks" that come on top of the CEO's $400,000 annual salary, that all comes out of B.C. taxpayers' pockets."

Perhaps the 2-car paint job is so that if a 'couplet' has tobe removed and another put in its place, there will be no visual incoherence.

I don't think you understand what troll means.

per Wikipedia:
Quote:
In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion,[3] often for their own amusement.
Bateman trolls the general public by getting them outraged about salaries, without any context to the overall budget or complications involved in running an organization like Translink. He picks at incredibly small budget items to justify his claims of wastefulness at Translink.

If the CEO was being paid $100k or $1M it wouldn't matter to the organization. Those amounts are rounding errors in the grand scheme of things.

Where is his criticism of the PMB, losing $80+M last year. That's enough to pay for 177 Translink CEOs.

That's because when he was a Langley Councillor, he argued for 4 new Fraser River crossings the size of the Golden Ears Bridge.

What a guy!

He also argued for LRT/Skytrain in Langley. He's just a "me first" type. My only real problem is the attention he gets from the media.
