I've pretty much given up on this project. It's just one of those developments that just never happens. Looks like that parking lot will be there for another 5-10 years.

Good catch on the date. I saw Feb 5th and that it was in the initial stages of permitting. Looks like the SAP wasn't even ever assigned for review.

Hadn't seen this rendering of Related's new tower and Whole Foods. Not the best quality but nice to see another time of day and a little lighting:

Midtown Construction Update - 2/15/2016

It may be a federal holiday, but Midtown is still abuzz with construction activity! Some photos I took this morning:

I'll start off with 98 14th Street, since there have been so many questions lately:

White tape on all surrounding trees:

These pink markers appeared to be placed at what might be the site's borders:

There were also several white markers in what I would call the valley of the site. Sewer caps on the site were also spray painted in orange. Not much else in terms of noticeable activity:

NCR Headquarters with Modera Midtown in the background behind University House, and Alta Midtown topped out to the right:

Museum Place starting to take shape across from the High:

Amli Arts Center:

60 11th St:

And if you simply spin around, behold Post Midtown Millennium. Look at all those cranes in one small shot:

Atlantic House on the left, with Related Group's 14th St. tower on the right:

Atlantic House:

Site of Related Group's 14th St tower:

Alternate view of Atlantic House/Related Group's 14th st tower, facing North:

Another crane filled shot, standing on 14th and facing South. From left to right, you have the crane for 60 11th St, Post Midtown Millenium, and one of the cranes for Atlantic House. The parking lot directly in front is the site of a dual brand Marriott hotel proposal.

Seriously, what is up with the Food Lion grocery store graphic circa 1985 on the front?

***Also, how is this thing 39 stories? I only count 27 stories of balconies.

What do you mean?? Are you just ignoring the parking and retail floors? And the extra floor on top?

I am just counting balconies. Are they really planning to have 12 stories of parking?

More like 9-10 stories of parking and 2-3 of retail.

I'm counting 28 residential floors with balconies on the left side of the building 2 retail floors on the bottom and the top floor thats 31 floors so that leaves 8 floors for parking

Thanks, Frankster87 !

Thanks for sharing these Super photos, Frankster87.

Speaking for many, I'm sure, please keep them coming!
Especially around NCR, Alta Midtown, 1010 West Peachtree and soon, Hanover Midtown.
Thank you !!

So are you saying that this building will not be 60 stories at 720 feet tall like what was previously reported?
