Gloucester plummets below York and Saint John in 24 years and should be passed by Kings (or fall below it) relatively soon. Similar scenario for Restigouche and Kent v Albert counties.
Restigouche, Gloucester, and Queens, the three fastest shrinking areas in population, also have the three highest median ages, which means that these decreases are going to gain more momentum if things aren't done to reverse them soon. We'll soon be seeing the emptying out of many rural areas in the province.
