Well, Museum House sure looks silly now. Pay $3M to live in a shoebox 20 feet from your neighbour and have your blinds closed all day. Why even put west-facing balconies in the new building? Who's gonna use them? This reminds me of Bloor St Neighbourhood, with its intricate step-backs and efforts to achieve a neighbourly massing, all in vain when dwarfed by ham-fisted extrusions like Casa I/II. Who regulates these things?

Agree with Museum House. It was actually used as a reference for the new tower separation guidelines. Disagree with BSN. It's a complete hack job. There's nothing intricate to its stepbacks . The tower spacing is much wider as well.

Thanks for the pics of Hamilton ,Tomax. The closest I've ever been was Burlington.

What was with that torquoise panel look we see in the Gerald Hatch Centre? Montreal has several notable examples, like the airport and the Hydro Quebec building. But there was also the Corby's building near the Decarie circle, the Dominion Textiles building on Sherbrooke W, between Atwater and Guy, also the Catholic school board building way out on Sherbrooke E.

I actually really like the way museum house is turning out

That's the John Hodgins Engineering building at McMaster. It was built in the 1950's and turquoise panels were popular during that decade.

It really is great to see so much going on in Hamilton. I wonder what's driving it, because the population still isn't growing very fast?

So just investment opportunities with no one moving? Because the stats just came out today, Hamilton has only grown by a few thousand the past year.
