I guess Graffiti Park is the popular name now. Is it an actual city park now? I still call it the Baylor Art Wall.

Not sure if it's an actual city park. But I guess it could, there were alot of people there this afternoon spray painting and taking pictures. I even met one couple from Wisconsin that heard about it out the internet.

It certainly has become an attraction in its own right. It seems like the city could take it on.

That image was inspired by forum member Kotliz's image who created the original version, which the creator of that video then edited a bit.

The tallest tower there is a photoshopped image of the north side of 360 Condominiums. In Kotliz's image, he added a shrunken image of the top of the UT Tower for the crown, and then added a spire atop that. He then placed it in the photo that the Tree apartment project used for their marketing.

Kotliz also followed that up with this 2nd image, in which he added the Burj Khalifa to Austin's skyline. This is a real building in Dubai, UAE. It's 2,717 feet tall.

(Not a great fit for us, I think)

Can you imagine how much of that building sits empty in Dubai, a metro smaller than Austin, and with a smaller economy (albeit not directly comparable), much greater wealth inequality, and a gigantic reliance on very fragile tourism industry built on unsustainable economics?

... albeit it has perhaps a higher profile globally ...

From what I can tell many of those Dubai towers are largely empty. But the info isn't really forthcoming.

A new little bit of art popped up on the back of the dumpster enclosure at the Dairy Queen at Burnet and Buell.
