I'm most excited about JPX project. I think it will do wonders for that part of Peachtree.

Drop all the MARTA/Transportation conversation. This is not the place for it. If you want to discuss things that are not specifically about HIGH RISE/MIDRISE/LOWRISE DEVELOPMENT (aka ARGUING ABOUT MARTA) go to the Atlanta Sub-forum: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=330

Large residential community proposed along Beltline on south side.

Quote:
The first phase includes 120 townhouses that would likely start at $280,000 to $290,000.

Nervous to see a site plan for this one.

Construction expected to start in the summer. Second phase would have 200 apartments and a 3 acre park connected to the Beltline. It's the land between East Confederate Avenue, Avondale Avenue, and Lester Avenue in Boulevard Heights.

I want to see the site plan, too, but this sounds promising.

Dekalb Farmers' Market Expansion

Does anyone know the latest on this? They've been doing site work for about 18 months but I haven't heard anything since the initial announcement two years ago.

I went to YDFM a week ago and the area of expansion has been fully cleared and graded it looks like. But when I go it is dark so can't tell if anything else is going on.

Are the foundation drawings (or any updated drawings) of Eviva available? Curious about the new site layout and design.

I usually go to YDFM weekly. Watched the grading go on for what seemed to be an eternity, consoling myself that when construction started it would go relatively quickly. Alas, everything seems to have ground to a halt. You'd think they'd at least expand the parking.

Creative Loafing had a story on the expansion plans 2 years ago and could only confirm from the owners that they would be doing site work in the interim.

They've submitted several variations of plans because of the size of the project triggered a Development of Regional Impact study. The current site/land disturbance is more than likely just setting the future phases to be "pad ready" more than anything.

22 14th St. filed for Land Development for Phase II: 74,600 sq. ft. organic grocer with attached deck with 270 parking spaces.

Also permits have been filed for both phases of the Moore's Mill Publix development. The one that has been stonewalled for far too long by the water treatment facility and power plant.

A lot consolidation permit was filed for 1400 West Peachtree St. which is the multi-family + hotel development near the puppet museum.

No it's not the tower crane being assembled, I believe it's a drilling unit.

Incredible pictures! You're very talented! Also, I spend every day in the downtown area and you really seemed to capture the energy and vibrancy which is steadily increasing in the area. Your pics really show the best of Atlanta's urbanity. Thank you for posting!
