^ If Don Draper had been an architect instead of an ad man I could imagine him saying something like that

I needed that laugh.

The corrugated metal siding gives the new stadium a potential nickname. It can be called the Quonset, which is a better name than "New Mosiac Stadium".

But the new part (and I've been in it) is amazing! Both functionally & aesthetically.

I have no doubt NMS will be functionally as good (or better) than TD place... but aesthetically, TD beats every facility in Canada.

Good post on Riderfans by Huff Daddy:

Had a tour of the stadium today. I can confirm that Knighthawk is correct. The secondary board will be in the NE corner.
What a fantastic facility this is. The size of the concourses and club areas are fantastic. Everything is just so much bigger and better...so spacious from the vast size of the new Rider Sore, the dressing rooms, offices, kitchens., etc. I was absolutely blown away. We are ridiculously lucky as football fans to be able to call this venue home. People will have their socks blown off the first time they walk into the stadium. The photos and videos online do not do it justice.

Anyway, the crews are sure banging up the trusses on the east side. I would bet that the east-side trusses will be completed by week's end.

I know Huff. Good guy. Used to play for the Rams, quite involved in football, works at Evraz Place. So he knows all aspects from the venue to the game. So good to hear he's impressed by the place.

Getting back to the exterior - which I really like despite the criticism of the metal panels - there are a few components we have not seen yet.
  1. the roof fabric;
  2. the covering for the ramp areas;
  3. the gray panels along the top (seen below).

Yeah, we get it, you are go-go-ga-ga and uncritical over it.

It was brought up again. If a little criticism makes you that cranky perhaps it's not my issue...

I'm going to wait until the whole stadium is done and the area landscaped before I decide if I will be go-go-ga-ga over it. Not that anyone at all gives a flying f**k what I think.

But I'm not cranky at all. Its just whenever I see your handle I fully expect to see wet blanket type comment.
I would love to be wrong, but you haven't disappointed me yet!

Just looking at the east side roof construction. Will there be one more row of supports extending over the seating area?
