Thanks for the update. Still no indications of the other components of this project (i.e., the two office buildings wedged between the Granville Bridge ramps) getting started? I wonder if they really intend to follow through on that part of the proposal or if it will be quietly forgotten because it was just fluff to help get the residential tower approved.

I do hope, however, that the asinine plan to build that pedestrian/bike path down the centre of Granville Bridge is dropped (along with the inconceivable plan to ensnarl both the Burrard Bridge and Granville Bridge in permanent, Vancouver-changing, beauty-destroying suicide cages).

Maybe they will have to start building up before they can start excavation on the other side of the ramp, as otherwise the whole thing might come crumbling down.

I'm thinking once they finish excavating the large site they would move into the others

I think they'll need those areas as staging areas for construction of the tower
- then they can build the smaller components once the tower is substantially complete and interior finishing work is being completed.

We'll see whether they continually hoist forms up and over the Howe St. ramp.

Even the lowrise portion to the west of the tower is not part of the current excavation:

I would hope more! I live in an 8 story building with only 3 apartments per floor and we have 2. My last apartment in Vancouver had 16 floors (5 units per floor) and we had 3 elevators.
