I hope it looks more like 278,000,000+ bucks.

I'm definitely looking forward to the 2017 season. I'll also likely go to the test events, so far the only one being tossed around with some certainty is a Rams vs Huskies game.

IMO there is very little regarding to two stadiums that are similar, other than the capacity.

The configuration is different, ie the circular footprint with far more sq/ft, the oval upper deck, upper deck endzone seats, tiered party decks, translucent roof, elevated lower bowl corner seating, 3 levels of party decks in each southern corner, covered endzone seating, 2 separate levels of suites, etc. Like I said, IMO there is very little that is similar.

I agree, after all every arena in the country came out of the same cookie cutter mold, so why not every stadium.

BC Place looks exactly like Mosaic, exactly like Olympic Stadium, exactly like Commonwealth. After all they are all stadiums in roughly same shape....

I'm glad for your sake, because you guys could not have made your stadium resemble IGF more unless you had simply purchased the blueprints from the developer.

I prefer IGF....I dont think Winnipeg has anything to prove to Regina. And i tend to agree with esquire. A few differences in the stadiums seating configuration, but the overall design is quite similar to IGF. honestly before the virtual tour I may have leaned towards NM but im really not a fan of the awkward seating configuration nor the double decked seating in the endzone. I like the look of IGF better. Its a cleaner look. just my 2 cents. both great stadiums and im not a stickler for symmetry but to me mosiac looks messy. I highly doubt the finish will be all that much better than IGF as well so it all comes down to prefrence and IGF gets my vote. (although both have good and bad points) but you're not gonna tell me one takes a back seat to the other

I guess it's all subjective because I think Mosaic looks very different from IGF. I kinda like Mosaic better too but need to see the final product to make a final judgement. Either way they're easily the the two nicest stadiums in Canada for football. I can tell you that any football fan in Calgary would take either one in a heartbeat.

With your logic, IGF and this look exactly the same too. I mean look at that canopy! And that upper deck!

It's a shame that Olympiastadion was built by the Nazis. You might just claim that they stole your unique design too.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. There are folks who'd prefer a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe over an 2016 Audi Q5. To each their own.

Should be less displacement for season ticket holders from old Mosaic to new Mosaic than from Canad Inns to Investors Group Field. There are more lower bowl seats between the goal lines at new Mosaic than at IGF due to the stands rising over and above the concourse. I guess the impact of this may be lessened due smaller number of rows in the upper deck.

Basic Shape is the same as IGF with some differences - continuous lower bowl with the previously mentioned extended stands between the goal lines; elevated seats at one end starting at the corners that give those people a slightly better view of what's happening downfield; and end zone seats replaced by what looks to be a tiered standing room area of 5 - 7 levels.

The upper deck will be similar to IGF extending from end zone corner to end zone corner. Most noticeable difference will be how they taper down in size.

The biggest overall difference in my mind will be the end zone upper deck and the extra club or loge level on either side.

It will be interesting to see how much of a difference the extra 25,000 square feet in new Mosaic will have on crowds on the various concourses. I saw pics of the upper deck concourse and they looked more spacious than IGF. Given the seating capacity up there will be less there should be plenty of room to maneuvre around. Hard to say how things will be in the lower bowl - it will be an average of 30 feet wide so we will find out in a year and a half if the width is adequate or not for a full capacity crowd.

It looks great and is progressing quite nicely. I can see it being virtually done by the time of the soft opening next year.

Why are you so offended that some people likes our stadium design better than yours, or are simply comparing the two? Does everyone have to think yours is the bestest, most unique design on the planet? I mean is that all you have to live for out in Saskabush?
