Holy crap, I didn't know they were so far along! It looks like a clone of Ecole le Sommet on Ryan Street.

I had only noticed the entrance, and from your photo's it looks like the school is set a little bit back, and to one side on the lot.

I tend to agree with you that it is looking like Ecole le Sommet on Ryan St.

If I'm not mistaking they had said they wanted to be open by September 2016.

I drove by the construction site at the corner of McLaughlin and Morton and they had blue construction fence around it and looked like they had construction equipment on the site. Any New of what potential tenants could be going in?

Nothing specific yet. The T&T mentioned two drive-thru restaurants, a sandwich shop and a coffee shop. Is it safe to assume Subway will move across the street?

Pizza God has closed. Maybe that will leave room for a Little Caesars at McLaughlin and Morton, which is popular with College students.

Anyway, hopefully they do have tenants lined up, as the new Elmwood plaza still sits mostly empty. Freddie's was supposed to open this week, but the owner said the new building has plumbing issues and hopes to open sometime next week.

The Elmwood plaza just got built and i think it might take some time to fill up but I don't know what could go there except a mom and pop place..

If I'm not mistaken the lot Marked on Newcombe right across from Erinvale is the property they where looking to build a day care center. (Note:The larger property marked in Black right across from Erinvale)

According to the T&T, the entire McLaughlin Place development (retail & residential) at the corner of Morton & Mc!aughlin represents a $35M investment.

About two years ago, a proposal came before Moncton PAC for a doubling of the size of the apartment complex on Lewisville Road, just to the west of Humphrey Brook and the Humphrey Brook Trail. The proposal was for an additional 60 units (in addition to the 56 units in the existing building). This lot is sandwiched between Humphrey Brook and the CN mainline.

I see that there is preparation work ongoing at the present time behind the currently constructed portion of the apartment complex. I presume this project is now a go..........

My mom lives in the current building and she's been told that construction will start next spring. this unit is also supposed to have garages

Indeed, the site plan above indicates 60 parking spaces in an underground garage.

I wonder how these spaces will be distributed? I'm sure most people would prefer enclosed parking. The number of indoor spaces equals the number of new residential units being constructed. Does this mean that each new unit will be guaranteed an indoor space? If so, is this fair for existing tenants who might want to upgrade. Will it be first come first served? Will there be an extra fee for enclosed parking?

Also, the whole complex will have 232 parking spaces, which is more than two spaces per unit. That seems awfully luxurious..........

I just noticed the other day that there is a couple really big ones on St. George by centennial park. I am rarely out that way so I've never seen them before. would they likely be in that category too?

You've got People's Park Tower at the top of the hill on St. George. Part of it is an assisted living home / nursing home and the rest are seniors' apartments. There's another one in the east end that is probably just as big.

Once you get downtown you have the Lions building which is quite large. Probably 100 units and IIRC is 10 floors.

Scattered around town are a few taller ones. Cameron Arms and the Lorentz apartments come to mind. Both of which are 10 stores or so. Other than that though, the city is really dominated by 4-5 story wood frame buildings of which only a few have more than 80 units.
