I walked by these earlier. Lots of glass going up on Bella Tower at the front, yet the shorter tower still doesn't appear to have balcony glass. They've also redone the sidewalk around the perimeter as well as tree planting along George Street. The steam rising in the above photo tells me the HVAC is up and running which is good!

Nice. That angle would capture the Artizen/William Thomas development, as well as the Tivoli (though the latter might be behind the girl if she's still there when it's built )

I can't believe that we'll actually have the sidewalk back on the North side of Main soon. Haven't walked that in about 3 years now... longest project ever.

The sidewalk on the east side of Caroline is back as well, currently unobstructed and completely paved.

I can't believe cars will be able to pull in between the sidewalk and the front door. Horrible design. This project is embarrassing

Hamilton, once again proves itself in being a hideous city.

I resent that remark. Open your eyes
Sure Hamilton has some rough areas but for the most part it's a pretty nice city with some beautiful architecture. Hamilton is a diamond in the rough due to years of a depressed economy, etc, but finally we are seeing the diamond polished.

As for the building, I like it. When coming in along Main Street, it adds prominence to the downtown.

Agreed. Hamilton is a great city.

Number one on the to do list is Main and King conversions to people friendly complete streets.

I believe those are lanes to enter and exit the parking garbage.

Almost. What you're seeing is a drop off loop for the retail entrance.

George street is a much safer drop off spot. Hamilton is a gorgeous city. It deserves so much better than this. I believe coming in along Main st, this building acts as a wall and basically blocks any view of downtown. I would have liked to see something incorporating the Hotel and Bella into something taller and more slender.

First substantial tower built in downtown hamilton in quite a while. cities like Toronto dont even get that many tall slim eye catching towers. Dont think we're in a position to be picky as of yet

Im happy that this will bring an influx of residents downtown not on social services. Hopefully upscale services for these residents will pop up.
