The LED lights Mosaic will be installing are incredibly small, so the could, theoretically be installed anywhere. I'd say the above diagram's suggestion would be most reasonable.

I'm continually impressed with the interior of IGF. It's such a great mix of continental Europe-styled main stands with the open ends of North American stadiums but they polished the ends off rather than leaving them barren and vacant.

They've installed LED floodloghts at the Emirates. The LEDs work well and can be programmed for pretty cool light shows.

Hmmm. It's too bad that Regina is to have the first LED-lit stadium in the country - we'll [officially] have to wait until 2017.

If they work really well, other pre-existing stadia should do the same. The LEDs are $$$; however, the power bill, based on field lighting, would be a fraction of what those monster incandescent cost to operate. Maybe coloured LEDs are a possibility.

I believe it's an energy savings of 75%. And they'll last longer too.

off topic..does anyone here have game centre? I live in Alberta but i want to watch jets games but the thought of paying $30 for another month for this is actually leaving me sick to my stomach. Unfortunately TSN3 is blacked out for jets games (not that it matters I cut the cable last year anyway) I find there is no such thing as a high quality no Bullsh*t streaming site, so If I can pay someone else a fraction of the cost to use their log in info I will gladly eat up some of that cost for you

The LED lights on Mosaic look impressive. I'm gonna make the guess there will be a lot of night games when it opens.

I think BC Place might have exterior LEDs (all the accent lighting on the roof), but couldn't find anything about it having LEDs for the field of play.

While smaller scale, the Canadian Tire Centre installed new LED lighting for this hockey season. Having just recently attended a game, it was noticeable, particularly in how they are instantaneously able to dim or brighten the lights.
