^^ I would be surprised if we do not hear at least the first rumblings of Georgetown's Plans for State/Washington by mid-year 2016..........one of the rumored projects for this cycle that has me most excited at present....

I'm also wondering if we'll see anything soon with 443 n Wabash lot, it was sold a year ago and still nothing. Last time we heard of it it would be part of the Realtor building that was going to be torn down and built to 93 stories. Too bad they got cold feet.... Down the street, plans for the new Hilton are to be presented tonight, I believe.

I was at the meeting. I voiced my support to low parking ratios and for high density. Reilly seemed to really appreciate my support of low parking ratios and used my comment as a jumping-off point to describe why low parking ratios are good.

Great to hear and thanks!! What reason did you give him? I'm curious since he has been a little interesting the last year or so..

I didn't really give a reason for the parking ratios since he already agreed, but I mentioned for the density that it was necessary fill in empty storefronts because another person a few questioners ahead of me had complained about a number of empty retail spaces in the area - I said something to the effect that "density is necessary to support the retail in the area to create the vibrant neighborhood we all want."

I also emphasized that I was a constituent who lived a block from the site, lest anyone think I was some interloper.

Yeah. It really blows my mind when people don't understand that. Put more people in an area and businesses are going to get a better chance to survive. It will give businesses more reason to actually take the space in the first place because they know people will be there.

Horrible base treatment. 3 floors of parking podium wall, a giant curb cut, and possibly no retail? Aesthetics of the base are a mess as well.
