Clearly an exact replica, look at all the things they have in common:

1. There is a field, with yard markings and hash lines
2. There are goal posts on both sides in the endzones
3. There are endzones
4. There are seats surrounding the field
5. There are entrances and exits
6. There are concessions and washroom facilities
7. There are Big screen displays
8. The is a bit of roofing to cover some of the seating.

The list goes on and on.

IGF looks great on TV especially the aerial shot they did for the Grey Cup intro. They will get the other deficiencies fixed and it will be a great stadium for years to come

We all can agree that Rogers Centre was killing the Argos slowly, and they needed to move to BMO (as they were not going to get their own) compromises had to be made, they will get it built and maybe they get a yard or two back, but player safety has to take precedence and if they can't fit the total 20 yard end zones, it is not the end of the world, but at least they will have a chance at being a successful franchise

When did we become so petty on this forum.....think to the CFL 15-20 years ago, we are in WAY better shape stadium and league wise
Old BC Place, Mosiac, Canad Inns, Ivor Wynne, Rogers Centre, no Ottawa, Olympic Stadium.....bench seats, no club seats, limited suites and limited revenue....

CFL is in much better The biggest thing is leadership from top. The Loggers thing with the Eskimos is stupid, media accessibility is a must as these guys sell the game as much as anything and I hope the new web site and fantasty football work....oh yeah and dump the new logo

I really like IGF but it is nothing like the new Mosaic.

I honestly don't like the scaled down Mosiac that much. The canopy only covers a small portion . Not even sure why they put it on.
IGF with its flaws is still in my eyes a better stadium.

Statistically-speaking, how many touchdowns are actually scored in the back 3 yards of the end zone? How many touchdowns have been denied in Edmonton or Montreal because of the sawed-off corners in the end zone?

How many passing yards will be lost because of a shorter end zone? (Hint: none)
How many rushing yards will be lost because of a shorter end zone? (Hint: also none)

I don't think the differences in statistics and records and scoring is going to be as pronounced as you think. I don't think it's anything to get all worked up about before they've even played a game in the building.

Some people would prefer to drive a Chevy Malibu instead of a BMW 550i. It's all a matter of taste.

For the record I watched the Grey Cup last night with a gang that was made up of very casual football fans. All of them were very impressed with IGF: "Wow, what an awesome stadium!"

It does present well on TV. It's really the only stadium out of the new builds (THF, NMS, TD Place, IGF) that was designed with full consideration to appearing as good as possible to TV audiences.

What really stood out to me as a viewer, was the difference when the walls around the playing field changed colors from the traditional blue and gold BB and Bison logos to the black, sponsorship and branding. Looked impressive and intimidating..

Yeah, I agree. It looked sharp. Much better than the peanut butter coloured tarp with the oddly placed, OCD-triggering Bomber/Bison logos.

I also liked the way the temp seats fit in, they actually looked like part of the stadium. Good design there.

NMS was also designed to appear well on TV. I believe they consulted with TSN on it during the design process.

It will look a far sight better than THF and TD, the latter of which has that unforgivable giant void in one end zone. However, the lack of seating in one end zone at NMS gives IGF the nod. A full bowl can't be beat when it comes to TV... the image of a player smashing into the endzone with a backdrop of cheering fans looks great on the small screen.

I cant believe what I have read over the past few pages. This isn't the first time this league has had quirky endzones. If you remember back when BC place was introduced the CFL the league had to allow the smaller 20 yard endzones which were eventually adopted league wide. Ask Any player if they would rather have rounded endzones or shorter endzones. To me that's the real problem in this league. Montreal's situation is way worse than Toronto's. BMO would have been the best stadium in the CFL pre BC place reno's that was only 4 years ago! A canopy...individual seating...HD jumbotron...all in the same stadium? it was unthinkable half a decade ago! BMO offers everything any new stadium in north america has either than an open concourse. This is just getting ridiculous! Riders fans you need to remember where you are, before you even think about where you're going. Mosiac 1.0 is a dump and yes 2.0 will be great but IGF isn't a slacker by comparison in any world! it holds it's own very well beside it and they both can take a seat while looking at BC place, sorry to say it but BC place is the true jewel in this country. Stop bickering over 3 yards, off center grass fields and seat colors. BMO is gonna serve as a great CFL stadium. And TFC will build a new Stadium and BMO will get handed down to the Argos before anything else. The Argos are there to stay for the next 50 years get use to it!

The south end zone at Mosaic will be a tiered party zone, if anything it will look much much better on tv that folks just sitting down. Behind that will be a massive video board only slightly smaller than the new one at LP Field in Nashville.

Not a chance. But I'll give you guys credit, it's OK and still a lot better looking than what Hamilton has.

What the hell does TFC need a new stadium for?

They don't but it was mentioned that the Argos should get the ball rolling on a new stadium. I'm just pointing out the more likley scenario would be that TFC would build a new one down the road over the argos.
