The sign was up for years after the church was abandoned. I drive by there every day.

should be a nice addition... really change the face of the osborne village area... its going to really stand out when your entering onto the osborne st from the bridge.

^^ Will the Concordia Health and Fitness Center be reopening the go-kart track on that site?

I'm fairly old but don't ever remember a go-kart track on that site. What years did it operate?

If I recall properly the track was right at the end of Kimberly (1133 Molson) where the Concordia Village is located. I recall going there a few times in the mid 1960's and it probably lasted through the 1980's.

The Miles Mac Alumni web site shows that it received a pool hall / pinball machine license from the city in 1977.

Go-Go Karting Limited. East side of Molson between Snowden and Concordia. The EK-Transcona Community Committee Minutes shows an application approved in May of '85. So it operated until at least then.

The company that ran the track was called Ad-Ventures Ltd. Still good rental karting in Winnipeg at Speedworld. Provided you don't have asthma.

Unless I'm wrong, it appears that the orig. drawing was altered.

I like the orig. drawing. The new one makes the development look to plain (no char.).

Hard to know for sure from those pics but I actually think it might be pretty close to the original, but the bottom picture looks like the view from River Ave, judging by the glass part on the roof's location in each photo.

Actually I can't see any structural changes or features much different from the renders released back in 2014, these images look like they've been resized and the clarity is off from the originals in the Gas Station Arts Centre threads OP...

For Comparison

Not much going on at MB Clinic build site but it looks like the existing parkade is getting expanded, so are the first few floors in the render more parking or is that office space?

^ So they're adding a level to the parkade? I guess that means the portion to the right will get a new level as well?

Huh? Are the cars going to take an elevator to get to the top floor of the parkade?

^^^^ funny, that seems to be an ever expanding parkade. I believe they just added a floor about 4 years ago. Good thing it is made out of Lego (precast).
