Sweet flythrough. Google Earth Pro? Recognized the distinct shape of 158 Front in yellow... thinking of buying a unit there given the nice wide/shallow layouts. Will this be curtain wall? ~$600/psf there seems quite reasonable, relatively-speaking.

lol why. It's a non-starter given all the viewcones, and most of the new buildings would be taller than FCP. Sounds like the kind of arbitrary recommendation forumers make for other cities "nice 600' tower, but it should be 1200' tall" when the intent is to exaggerate its smallness.

Yep, Google Earth Pro. Its free now, you can get a code for it off the website. Or, at least it was several months ago.

Can you imagine the intersection of Yonge and Gerrard when this all gets built.

It will be insane!

Here's a rough rendering of what some of the highrises under construction in Halifax will end up looking like massing-wise:

lol (as you ALWAYS start with).
Not at all. That dome seems very under ambitious for 2035. I didn't see any 300m towers in those diagrams either. Not sure where these taller then FCP buildings are you are talking about. It just looks like Vancouver is sticking to a table top skyline. a 600m tower would be just ridiculous but an actual building pushing the 300m mark would do wonders for the skyline. A true signature tower.

Absolutely. It's going to be a very prominent area on the skyline.

yup. You have to export a KMZ file then open it in earth, the direct export button doesn't work any more for me, though it is still in the sketchup program, greyed out.

Ah, I thought I'd messed something up when I last installed it.

They still haven't 3D scanned Hamilton yet though, so that's annoying.

They just added London and K-W, too. Still no Hamilton, or Quebec City Either.

I'm hoping for Halifax sometime soon, although they probably want to focus more on central Canada before the Maritimes.

Within 5 years I hope to see it in Hali, Moncton, Saint John and St. John's.

Just for fun, I wanted to rough in how much of this view will be blocked soon.

Yellow = Legends (U/C)
Orange = Stantec (U/C)
Red = CoE Civic Tower (U/C)
Dark Blue = Encore (Pre-Construction)
Purple = Kelly-Ramsey (U/C)
Light Blue = 102 St. Centre (Proposed)

Very rough, very approximate.

^ *sigh* fixed. Google Photos seems to randomly change the URL if you don't add the photo to a public album.

I wonder if Brookfield will appear closer to the height of the Bow from this angle due to it being farther away? Also wonder if it will appear fatter than this image suggests?

Portage avenue will hopefully become this interesting at some point.
GlassHouse looks perfect from street level.

NOTE: The building just left of MB Hydro in the first picture is just my creative mind being put to work

I would think that it would look just a tad fatter, but definitely appear closer to the bow from this angle. I played around in Google Earth after I saw that photo and I agree.
