Well looks like the last midspan truss on the east side could be up by the end of the weekend! Also what weather this crew is getting! 11C in mid November! WOW I have a feeling it will be a frenzy onsite more than it is!

So they have just that odd angle one remaining on the south end. I wonder if they will do the finial trusses next or start on the north end roof.

I would think they would finish the top trusses as to build a new crane crawl pad and move the crane to the other side would be bad for schedule. I think it'll be finish the east side then do the north and move to the west side. But guess we will find out.

It appears as though the north mid span is still missing as well.

I believe they are quite a bit ahead of schedule on the structure side of things.

IIRC they did the same when they did the base trusses? Also most of the stands in the north end zone have been flown into place today.

They have not even started the lower bowl in the north end.

I think he was referring to the precast sections. They are nearly done. However there is still plenty of concrete to be poured in the west/Northwest corner.

Some interesting info here including near confirmation of the Rams - Huskies test event.

Quote:
The city is flirting with the idea of a University of Regina Rams versus University of Saskatchewan Huskies game as a test event.
The author also misses the point that there are tens of millions of additional costs going into this. As well he says the Riders are contributing $25 million but fails to mention the $15 million (or whatever it is) in leasehold improvements on top of that plus the $100 million the Riders fans are contributing. The Riders will also pay rent.

Also there is a cool video showing the precast stands being placed.

Looking at the East construction cam/seeing that side once in a while... The way the striping lines up is going to bother me. Kinda wishing it was symmetrical...

I am sure you'll be happy to know it will be symmetrical east to west.

You need to visualize what happens to the lines if the glass wall was not present and then you can see that they would line up if the pattern continued.

If they go in from both sides equally they won't. That's just my nitpicky nature of when I'd play with Legos/Blocks when I was younger though... I'll probably be one of the very few thrown off/slightly irked by it.

I agree, Nathan. It bugs me too. I have an eye for this sort of thing with my background as a draftsperson.

the stripping/siding will look better once it is all up and the gaps are filled. Sure seems to be going up in pieces...you would think they were putting up 1" square mosaic tiles given the pace of things.

I'm assuming because the centre of the structure is not actually at the inset, but rather right beside the inset. Remember, the ramps will be covered too.

I honestly wouldn't of noticed it but now that it has been pointed out - it looks wonky; but only if you think of it as continuous green/white stripes that need to line up. If you accept it as non symmetric (color wise) I think it will look ok. (I hope anyway)

Yes the ramps are to be covered with translucent material I believe. Your lines show it all lines up. I don't see the issue.
