Upstairs kind of next to Best Buy will be an insurance place (can't rem which one, but it was on the building permit). Tim Hortons and Boston Pizza have been confirmed as well, but I don't know if BP will be at this end or under one of the towers.
According to a sign posted at one of the doors, it would seem like Boston Pizza will be re-located and will now be below the Bed, Bath and Beyond on the ground floor next to where the old Futureshop used to be but closer to the Bus loop entrance.

Not sure if this is an improvement over the last location in terms of customer traffic, but I guess it depends on what it will look like.

The four upstairs spots will be filled by Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, The Co-Operators Insurance and Neptune Wonton / Sports Bar. The 'walkway' area below that will have Boston Pizza (I think I saw sports bar on their posters the other day), Freshii and an optical place. I haven't seen anything for the units facing Central Blvd.

I think one of the main ones one central Blvd (below the future Best Buy) seems like it's going to be a grocery store or a food market.

You can tell by the check-out counters and cash tills they've set up at the front of the space and the food freezers at the back of the store.

I'm guessing this is the one that will be Rexall? (though the food freezers at the back suggest PriceSmart).

That begs the question of what retail tenants will actually go in the podiums of the Towers, especially the podium of the Towers 2 & 3 currently under construction and which I imagine will be the biggest podium (with the largest retail spaces) in the entire project - which suggests a large anchor tenant-type retailer.

And that's not even taking into account the Podium of the last two towers which are yet to begin construction.

Considering the fact that most of these podiums are replacing what used to be parking spaces (and a large parking building altogether) - that's a lot of retail space to fill, if you're going to make it all retail.
With Metropolis just next door, and all the shops on Kingsway, that seems like a huge task to find retailers/eateries for all that space.

the old Future Shop area loos so desolate. It needs a lot of very large trees. I hope this isn't a preview of what the rest of the development is going to look like. More specifically the Yaletown inspired restaurant row along Silver Drive. I'm skeptical about how many bar/resto's will actually open up there. A large tenant like Earl's or Cactus Club would get the ball rolling nicely.

Below the Best Buy will be Dollarama, The Shoe Company and PetSmart. Rexall will be under Bed Bath & Beyond and next to the existing medical office. PriceSmart Foods is going under the first tower.

It's too bad a Cactus Club and Earl's are already right across the street pretty much.. even though that Cactus Club is pretty bland.

Maybe a Keg?

Kingsway between Wilson and Nelson is pretty hit and miss to what's been redevoped - and both the Cactus Club and Earl's locations would be prime redevelopment spots. So maybe one of them will move into Station Square restaurant row in a few years.

The south end is actually a hell of a lot better than it was before. The structure has been rejuvenated, and the anti-pedestrian parking lot is now covered in patio bricks instead of asphalt. There are lights everywhere and a path down the middle to walk through. It looks like a mini night market or something could happen there with the stringed overhead lights. I'm waiting to see what they are doing on the section under the Grand Corniche tower, hopefully they can make that part as accommodating.

Rexall looks like it's ready to open any day now. PetSmart is starting to look ready too, depending on how long it takes to move stock in. I looked at Central Blvd and saw signs for Subway, Tim Hortons and (I can't rem the name) a 'smoke shop'. Most of the spots at that end of Station Square are called for now.

This is the best I can do. I went there to ask but the sales center is closed and it looked like I'd be waiting awhile in what I think is the temp one.

I talked to a new security guard and he said the PriceSmart is going to open around Dec 4 - 5 (and then his job on the site ends until they're further much along on the next set of towers).

This is the strangest project regarding height information.

Why is it such a secret?

We have that information for every other project in Burnaby...

If you're still living in the area then it's prob easier to walk over and ask them - that's what I did when they were tearing down half the parkade. Admittedly they mostly know about the suites they're selling, but it's better to get a little info than none at all.

I believe myself that it's because buildings 4 and 5 are being redesigned.

This would probably make the most sense, since the marketing material now shows that the last two (or 3?) towers are being designed in collaboration with American big-deal firm KPF, whereas the original information on this project didn't list them at all.

I always find it strange when projects do this sort of thing (get a new architect mid-stream and re-design part of it) - especially when you consider the commitments and monetary issues that go into get them off the ground in the first place.

The only info I have is that tower III is 169m to the top of its spire. And tower I is 126m to the top of its spire. But I really don't know how accurate this is.

The height you have - is it 118m or 119m? I'd like to know because I have a database of all the 100m towers in the region, but I have barely any info for towers in Burnaby. Only the Amazing Brentwood towers, Altus, and Sovereign had an exact height included in their permit applications.

Which brings me to another question... where did Chad get all his height info from when he made all of the building diagrams? Did he just guess/estimate?

If the height of the first building is known, and the number of floors of the upcoming buildings is also known. Could not a fairly educated guess be made on the height of the next buildings, based off the first building?
