Anyhow, the southwest tower crane is slated for dismantling on Nov 26th, and the northwest crane is to follow suit on Dec 14th.

I can see that being the case. Also, the large portable crane that was lifting pre cast slabs into place appears to be gone.

I'm guessing it will reappear start of December. No sense having the crane sit idle with nothing to do.

I was informed that the big yellow crane is moving to the other side. As to now or later, I'm not sure.

I hear most of the major structure is complete along with the majority of the concrete slabs.

There are a number of ramps and risers left to be poured however.

Spectator Roof, LED Lighting & Seating Progress – Construction is 60 per cent Complete

Officials from the City of Regina and PCL Construction provided an update on the spectator roof, lighting and seating for the Regina Revitalization Initiative Stadium Project, which is approximately 60 per cent complete.

“These key features show just how different our new stadium will be compared to the current facility. Spectators, performers and athletes will enjoy these features and our beautiful new stadium for generations,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “It’s exciting to see the progress that has been made by PCL and the City team since ground was broken over 500 days ago.”

“A spectator roof and improved lighting and seating are essential features of our new stadium,” said Brent Sjoberg, Deputy City Manager & COO, executive lead for the Regina Revitalization Initiative. “PCL has teamed-up with world-class suppliers to deliver a modern and iconic multi-purpose facility for our community that everyone can be proud of.”

Substantial completion of the stadium is scheduled for August 31, 2016 with the first Rider game taking place in the new stadium in June 2017.

Spectator Roof – FabriTec (Dallas TX) – North America’s leading Design/Build tension fabric roof specialty contractor will begin installation of 130,800 square feet of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fabric roofing in the spring of 2016. The material is translucent, which will allow maximum daylight into the stadium and also provides shading.

Other notable FabriTec tensile membrane roofs include BC Place in Vancouver and Omnilife Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico and the London Olympic Stadium.

LED Lighting – Ephesus Lighting (Syracuse NY) – Approximately 400 LED fixtures with wireless control will illuminate the new stadium and provide an improved experience for athletes, performers and spectators with an industry leading glare control system. The LED lighting system will also be turned on and off with the flick of a switch. Ephesus fixtures typically provide energy savings of 75 per cent compared to traditional sports lighting. Regina’s new stadium will be the first in the Canadian Football League with LED lighting.

Other notable Ephesus lighting projects include University of Phoenix Stadium and US Bank Stadium in Minnesota.
Installation of the lighting fixtures will begin this fall. The LED lights will be turned on for the first time in the spring of 2016.

Seating – Irwin Seating (Grand Rapids MI) – The world’s leading manufacturer of public seating will be installing green Solara seats. Each seat will be rail-mounted with an armrest and drink-holder. General admission seats will be 20” wide. The average distance between rows is 33”. The majority of the seating will be installed in the spring of 2016.

Notable facilities with Irwin seats include Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.

It looks like this is the GA seat. Just add the cupholder option and pretend they are green. They are a different model than Commonwealth's, which are not on rails.

Those look like the exact seats. Maybe Riders will get a lighter, brighter green. More in line with the uniform colour.

Is there an advantage to having the seats on a rail? Maintenance would be easier it seems. Is there a comfort factor?

Very easy to remove and replace if broken

TNSE in Winnipeg is tasked with raising approx. 6000 seats in the upper deck at MTS Centre by 2.5". They installed loge seating and handrails this past summer that created obstructed views. Solution, raise all the seats. Yikes.

Might have been easier if they were on rails. Instead they're putting in a piece of steel bar underneath every single seat support.

I think they are cheaper and quicker to install (less drilling through concrete for each seat). Old Mosaic has them in the end zones. The one drawback is they are not as solid. When the big guy down the row sits down, he rocks your seat as well.

That looks like the reverse of what Edmonton did (more Rider-ish green on the upper tier at Commonwealth).

Seeing as they look the exact same green as the previous picture posted, I'd assume that that is just a standard green seat and that the stadium will have specially colored ones.

Yeah, the guy in the LP video said these seats are just samples, our stadium seats "will be a slightly different shade".
Also, I'm surprised that rail the seats are on is aluminum....I initially assumed it was galvanized metal.
