I was hoping this project would be more visible/have some interaction with State Street, but I guess really all that's directly on State is the big bowling pin sign anyway; you drive between a tire shop and something else (a small dealership?) to get to the actual bowling alley. So the narrow private street makes sense I guess.

It looks like Suburban Land Reserve is planning a residential development to surround the new CenterCal shopping center being built in Riverton.

"RIVERTON CITY PUBLIC NOTICE
The Riverton City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Riverton City Municipal Building located at 12830 South Redwood Road to hear following item(s):

• Suburban Land Reserve has applied for amendment to the Riverton City General Plan Land Use Element and adoption of a Specific Development District and Master Development Guide for approximately 543 acres located generally between the Bangerter Highway and Mountain View Corridor on the north and south sides of 13400 South."

That makes sense. Value capture, which the church business seem so good at.

Wonder if they'll have some medium-density units to tie into the future TRAX line that'll go through there.

What is the round building on about 7th West and ~ 7500 South? I won't ask my next question until I'm sure what this building is. It's possible I got an address confused.

Looks like that business park is going to be huge. It's good to see that the TRAX station is right there at the doorstep.

Kearns upgrades are planted to help area grow out of ‘the weed patch’

Salt Lake County turned dirt on the "Gateway to Kearns," a four-block-long stretch of land on the
south side of 5415 South that will be converted from a weed patch into a parkway including the
county's first urban orchard with apples, peaches, pears and cherries.

Upgrading the appearance of 5415 South is crucial to Kearns because it is the main route into its
emerging community center, built around the Olympic speedskating oval, the Oquirrh Park
Fitness Center and Kearns High School.

That's pretty cool, what Kearns is doing there. I'd love to see SLC do something similar with a lot of the negative space in and around the rail lines and I-15 in the Gateway and Grainery districts.

Noticed Vista Station in Draper has at least 4 new buildings rising right now ...after three new ones just finished completion. Also noticed a 200+ luxury apartment just breaking ground there being developed by Wasatch Properties. That whole area is basically one big construction zone.
