And the parcels still aren't showing as being owned by the same party.

Once they are, I think the information would be okay to release.
This seems like it would rule out the Zephyr site since that half block is all owned by David Bernolfo, which makes the 200 S 200 West corner more likely because Olafson II, LLC owns that entire corner, except the former Ginza building. Also, Olafson II was trying to get that land in consideration for the CCH (which would have been a terrible location), so they've already been interested in having a hotel there.

APS is Arrow Press Square.

What I do and where I work, I will send in a PM.

I don't know the status of the DA offices other than they were approved to continue with the new building. Hopefully we will hear more about this project in the near future.

We discussed it earlier (a few months ago). I had mistakenly thought it would be the planned hotel directly to the west of the Holiday Inn Express (former Shilo).

I am not sure which page it is on

Zephyr (this is my guess)
Royal Wood Plaza

SW corner of 2nd/2nd, former Ginza.
Mouse lounge NW corner 2nd W/4th S.
Zions lot, demo of Dinwoody (least likely IMO)
The site is in this list. I can't provide anything more publicly until the information is fully cleared to be public.

Just to bump up some renderings, I believe the following is a design for the hotel being discussed:

Also, the APS building is the one with the preliminary design that almost everyone hated, as seen below:

Actually, the WTC was to be on 200 and State. There were a pair of condo towers proposed at 400 and State. I think it was Wasatch or Hamilton the proposed it.

If I had to take a swing at where a hotel like this would be, my money would be on 300 West and 100 South, on the surface lot on the south east corner. Good distance from the salt palace and vivint arena, near other new development and no buildings torn down in the process.

Any other thoughts?

Makid said a building would be torn down.

My guess would be the Fidelity site, with vivint arena and the convention center next to it, also a trax station just about 100 feet away. Has this site been discarded for the CCH? Because this site would also be perfect for it.

Wouldn't that put this new Marriott hotel awfully close to the Marriott just built?

The 300 W 100 S site that was pointed out is a lot closer.

If we're going to speculate, Makid already said the site is in the list that Future Mayor came up with and that it would remove a paid surface lot and require the demolition of at least one structure.

They're both very close.

That's owned entirely by the Greek Orthodox Church, which isn't going to sell that anytime soon. It also doesn't fit the criteria.

My guess is the RWP for the hotel that Makid referred to.

Good point on the ownership. A Hotel does make sense complete sense on the Ginza lot, I could even see one of substantial size going there. 500+ rooms.

The Ginza site is the wrong direction based on the rendering, unless the hotel faces east.

We are referring to the site that Makid has eluded to, that is in the works, but no information has been released. I believe the rendering is of the proposed hotel next the the Holiday Inn, Express (Shilo)
