Zoom right into the picture and there is definitely something across the area that leads to the front cab area. it's the same colour as the front cab walls and even looks like a railing is on top of it in gray as well. it's definitely not a reflection.

I'm pretty sure that's a reflection of the building it's facing.
New image from Bombardier's Twitter showing the front of the vehicle...
After zooming in it's obvious to me. There's the inside wall and then there's the side window and you can see part of the hubcap of the car parked beyond it. There's no walled in drivers cab.

I see people are out in force protesting against the 49 reroute from the Champlain Heights area... Little signs held up by orange tape have gone up asking people to send comments to TransLink.
Frankly, I'm not surprised that this is happening... It happened the last time TransLink tried to reroute the 49 a few years ago...
It's always been around iirc. There are a few peak hour trips that bypass Champlain Heights but those only started after the UPass came into play for both Langara and UBC.
This should be all the more reason for people here to fill out the survey. It's a vocal minority who want the 49 to stay the same and divert through Champlain Heights. If enough people say they want it changed, it'll happen this time. Personally I thought the change to the 26 make the route even more convoluted than it is now and suggested an alternate route for it.
"Expo Line (station upgrades, for example), should assume that the line will one day be used at its maximum capacity (5-car operations)."
Can the Expo Line not be expanded past 5 cars for some, reason? Are the platforms not long enough for 5 car trains at present?
Where does Translink plan on storing the new rolling stock and have considerations been made for building a second yard? With the great potential for future expansion it seems this will become necessary, where would be the optimal location>
