Nice shots, timbad. Could the new name of EQR Potrero (formerly Daggett Place) be Potrero 1010? You can just barely make out those words on the signage in one of your shots.

363 Sixth St goes before a joint meeting of the Planning Commission and Parks & Rec on Thursday:

It's largely supported in the neighborhood and has been deemed to have negligent shadow effects on two nearby parks (which is why Parks & Rec is involved) so it should get approved.

Now that the Trinity III is rising I can now see how crowded the site will be. The owners of condominiums in the SOMA Grand facing west must be having buyers regret now. In this photo can be seen Trinity Place I. Number II is off to the right. View is from the Fox Plaza 27th floor.

101 looks good. Like others said before, it's not some big statement building, but it also doesn't clash with its neighbors. Just a good, solid addition to the neighborhood.

Huh? Who would have bought in that buidling thinking they had guaranteed views of anything? And why would they have paid a premium? They should have bought because they liked the unit and the neighborhood, or looked elsewhere.
Can't give every building in a city guaranteed views. Shouldn't expect to have a view of anything except across the street.

I don't think that was Jerry's point. Of course they knew blocked views would be coming, but it's still difficult to loose it when reality sets in. They won't see across any street, just look into a building's windows that will be very close to them. They are not only loosing a view, but also privacy. Many of us here would never have bought there in the first place though.

viewguysf - yes indeed, my comment was "just the facts mam" (quote from the detective in the 1950s Dragnet television show).

I looked at the SOMA Grand condominiums when it first opened (lovely spaces) & at that time there was information plainly shown as to what was going to be built next door, so buyers knew exactly what was coming.

But, I know of at least one person who bought a condominium on an upper floor without a blocked view. Alas the owner of Trinity Place No. One asked for & got a permit for an extension of 2 or 3 floors from the City of San Francisco which blocked his view. I'm sure many of you folks who are a regular to the Skyscraper Page has seen this happen time and again. The developer goes to the city later & asks for & gets more than initially permitted & the general public is not aware. Kind of like bait & switch.

I notice today (Oct. 20th/2015) that the new hospital construction at Van Ness & Geary is quite visible now from the laundry room of the Essex Fox Plaza 14th floor. Picture was taken with the zoom function. You can see quite clearly the new earthquake bracing which look like rust red & are broad metal plates. This is new technology in construction. The way I understand it the plates will move in an earthquake.

In the foreground you can see the satellite dishes on the roof of Channel 4's building, which will be torn down & a new structure built.
