They are cladding the back of the theatre in hand laid brick. I messed with the brightness so you can actually see the brick through the morning shadows.

Sad. This has been and continues to be one of the lamest threads for SLC...and the largest building under construction! I had hoped we'd see some pics from different angles other than a block away. but those are so rare. It seems as if no one really is all that interested in it. I LOVE the views from above the avenues by LDS cemetery and the incredible view of the city going up/down that "S" curve by University of Utah. This building is making a dramatic impact. Would just really love to see more of it since I don't live there. I mean, almost 3 weeks without any updates.

That's because nothing is happening. All the energy is going into doing the retail/ theatre portion. On 111 they add like a floor and a half a windows each week.

Exactly. From a skyline perspective, nothing has changed in a while. It's been built up to the top of the 24th floor, only lacking the crown, and it's been that way for about a month now.

Great photos, but like someone else in this forum mentioned, I wish the tower was as tall as the crane... but I am happy for what we ended up with...

I took a little walk this morning around the theater and tower. The theater is really taking shape, I bet the exterior will be complete soon. It looks also looks like they are doing a lot of work on the top of the tower, possibly getting ready to put the truss on that will support the weight of the building.

Thanks for the updates everyone! I decided to add the skin to one of the recent photos (thanks DCRes!) While the angles are not accurate and the 24th floor should be sitting a little higher it gives us a general idea of the finished look.

I know that a current 222 tenant has pre-leased space in 111 because they are outgrowing their current space in 222. No it's not Goldman. I don't know if it's been publicized or not and I wouldn't want to get someone in trouble that told me. Obviously I'm sure there are many pre-leases already signed, it's just nice to know of a company outgrowing current space. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see 151 break ground within a year of 111 opening.

Great shots high rise Mike. I like the different perspectives of 111 in your shots and how the tower is really helping to fill in the giant gap.

Great pics Mike! Wow, the additions of 151, The Regent Hotel, and the CCH, are going to do wonders for the skyline from this vantage.
