Looks like they're making the ceiling of the upper units taller and room for an elevator.

Whose the developer of this? It looks like they are building an addition on the southern part of the building that extends into the back lot.

You going to install an elevator for three shitbox floors? I lived on a third floor walkup, no elevator... no problem. Should have built a 30-story tower with the bricks as a podium.

Well, sure, you can do a walk up if you don't mind getting sued for not accommodating the handicapped and are fine with getting basically no middle aged to elderly tenants (which, let's face it, are the only people with money these days).

ya 30 tower condo on dundurn. That makes business sense. They wouldn't have a problem selling the units. It would blend in well with the other 30 story towers in the neighbourhood.... o wait

When NYC built the twin 110 floor World Trade Centre Towers, there was nothing around that time that even came close downtown, downtown was a sess pool of crime and drugs , everyone said it would sit empty, no one would go downtown, the mayor at the time called it "seed development". someone has to be first, to seed the area. Obviously I'm not asking for a World Trade Centre type development just something to seed Dundurn... not this brick shit box.

Do you really understand the context of the neighbourhood this building is in?

Calling it what you have is a bit premature, isn't it?

Drove by last night. The windows are going in. It was dark but the windows looked good and appropriate for this building.
