Reported on T&T that Better Buy Sports will be closing due to competition from mega-stores.

Unfortunate, but not really surprising. How could they compete against both Cabela's and BPS??? I knew this was going to happen.

Welcome to the forums.

Ivan's website is still operational, and I've seen no indication that they are closing, so we will assume that it's just renovations.........

Sad that it's going but I could not see them competing against Cabella's, or BPS. I wonder if they are going to replace BBS with a single tenant or if they will reface the building to fit multiple tenant in there I'd see 3-4 tenants easily.

Here's a detailed discussion as to how to post images (and videos) in the forum.

As to a good photo hosting site to use, I like Photobucket, it's simple to use, but there are several possible hosting sites you could consider........

From their Facebook page:

For those who have not been able to come by in a little while, there are big renovations going on outside our store!
The front of the store is being renovated at the moment, so the front entrance is closed, but our back door is still open and remember that we always have free parking in the back.

Request before the October meeting of the Moncton PAC concerning the lot next to the CIBC in the Main Street Superstore parking lot:

Quote:
Pro Reit Acquisition Inc., 135 rue Main Street (PID/NID 00997759) a conditional use application for more than one main building on a lot and a variance to have more than two driveway openings
This is the location:

There was a site plan from the other year showing a planned coffee shop, or fast food joint in this location, the footprint of which looked suspiciously like a Tim Horton's:

Jungle Jim's Restaurant on Mountain Road has a sign in the window that says "closed until further notice". Does anyone know why??

Well, I would take a guess it's not re-opening anytime soon. Although it's still listed on their website, the Facebook page is gone and if you try to lookup the Inspection reports for Jungle Jim's the Moncton one isn't there anymore.

I haven't been there in years but in the past couple of years I've heard more negative about it than good. I do know the issue the Miramichi store had with food poisoning a few years ago didn't do the reputation for the chain any good.

If it's the same thing that happen to the Miramichi location I can't see the Moncton location reopening.

But might be surprised.

Don't think it's that bad as the Miramichi situation or we would have heard something about it by now.
I went once. Kept being told every 15 minutes that my supper would be ready in five minutes. Finally, after about six or seven such "five minute warnings" from the waitress, I left. The manager ran out and intercepted me in the parking lot and apologetically begged me to come back in. He comped my supper, desert and several drinks, which was a nice way of making it up to me. Two thumbs up for that any way. I truly wish them well.

There are now forms and footings in place. This project is now firmly under way.

From what I've seen/heard there still looking for tenants, or not ready to tell us who will be there. I'm guessing if any tenants did show interest they don't want to say in case the tenants back out for any reason.

The current construction is for the gas station/convenience store/coffee shop.

At one point, McDonalds was slated to build in that plaza similar setup to the new irving/mcdonalds out by the airport in dieppe, which would actually make more sense than yet another tim hortons in that area as the mcDonalds in walmart is no longer a drive thru, but I guess that fell through.

According to the PlazaCorp website, Lole, a women's active wear store will be moving in there.
