Looks like Wexford managed about 150 million worth of assets and AimCo manages about 75 billion. So I'd say, probably.

Still hoping for two towers with increased height on both instead of the three towers.

AIMCO is the Alberta Investment Management COportation who like it was mentioned manages $75B in assets for 27 pension, endowment and government funds in Alberta (source)

So definitely deep pockets, and have been quite successful.

I'm assuming Wexford has no interest in developing their Beltline site either, formerly refereed to First South.

I thought they had submitted their BP just before Christmas to avoid the new 2016 building code. I believe that gives them one year to start the project before they have to resubmit.

So is this finally proceeding? Still had a bunch of excavators on site from the utility work last time I went by, but no pile drivers??

I hear AIMCO has put a pause on any new spec rental development, and the plan was always just to complete the utilities work, so as of now, there are no plans for this to move forward.
