Yes, it's a little gem of a building. Apparently it cost $1.6M to do the restoration.
Here's another interesting picture I found of some cruise ships in what's called the seaport area of Halifax:

This area was the main port for the city from about the 1910's to the 1960's, when most shipping was containerized and moved to the new terminals. Before these long pier buildings were built, most shipping was done at smaller "finger wharves". Here's an example, Cable Wharf:

There used to be one of these after another, running for several kilometres along the harbour. If you look at old maps of Manhattan from the 1800's they are like that too; the whole southern part of the island was surrounded by little wharves.
