Webcam should get a good view of One Riverside as well once it clears the low buildings.

Looks like they've made good progress on the transition floor. Really looking forward to a return to vertical progress.

Why would it transfer to concrete? Wouldn't steel be better to deal with any flexing caused by wind? I thought concrete structures were more for low rise and/or residential buildings where they don't need as much height an openness in each floor.

The top 20 floors here are residential, thus less height and openness needed in each floor.

Thanks - I forgot it was mixed use. So will the change be noticeable from the outside - I'm assuming the glass will be cut differently for those top floors.

Shorter floor heights, I'd assume - I think you can see that in the renderings.

I wonder if the residential windows will be operable or sealed.

Yes, it'll be interesting to see how the windows operate.

they have been working on the transfer floor for quite a while. I wonder when the vertical progress will resume.

I don't know about you guys but I'm ready for this thing to get moving again. I know the transition floor is complicated but I'm anxious to see this beauty take off !!!

Oh and, the webcam will be very close to not seeing the top floors.

Was coming up 76 W today, a route I don't ever take. I was struck by how this building is smack in the middle of your line of sight as you approach. It will be quite a sight when done.

That transfer floor is obviously a time-intensive piece of work. The glass is going to catch up before too long. It's as if they were completing a medium-height building before moving on to the addition.

Change of plan. They decided to top it off.
