One thing they are good at doing is parklets. But you need people living near by to use the parklets. Sell off the land with development agreements, alfrigginready. The boom will bust by the time they get around to it. Enough with the parks, we need people and buildings.

The RFP process is the first part of selling the land. That's the point.

Basically it's nice to see these huge companies betting on Central locations instead of far out suburban areas.
Didn't read the entire thread so apologies if somebody brought it up...

But maybe this is where Chemours ends up. That I'd love...gets them much closer to Center City.

Yeah I know. But haven't they had like 8 years to prepare RFPs? It really needn't be so complicated. This is basic stuff. Battery Park City has been around for less time than Penn's Landing and they've built a city half the size of Center City there in 20 years. Meanwhile our guys are still figuring out how to do RFPs and fiddling over some privy pits. It's really ridiculous, there's no sense of urgency.

It was last night. Not sure what magic Summers worked, but it wore off.

Thanks. The issue is that not all Philly threads are on the page to which you've linked for some reason, hence the search link provided by Summers. That doesn't work now, for some reason.

I started a thread in the mod forums to see if there is any way I can move the threads not included or if an admin has to do it.

Thanks Summers, a lot of the threads that are not part of the Philadelphia Projects and Construction Forum are hard to access and don't have much discussion going on because people, including myself, don't really know where to find them and they're not consolidated well.

Others have confirmed through the thread I started that only admins have the ability to tag threads to add them to the Philadelphia Projects and Construction Forum.

So therefore, until an admin adds them, the only way to access them would be to either go to the main SkyscraperPage Forum homepage here: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/

...and search through the individual subforums to find threads and subscribe to them.

Or, you could do a search similar to what I did with the search function near the top of the page. Click "advanced search" and type "Philadelphia" in the keywords box and filter below to "Search titles only." Then select the Supertall Construction, Highrise Construction, Highrise & Supertall proposals and General Development sub-forums using the shift key to select all of them and then start the search.

Best of luck!

Forgive my momentary enthusiasm

I know this is completely off topic , but I just couldn't help myself ......
The Cubs are in the playoffs , and momentarily are tied with the third
best record in all of baseball .
I don't get much to cheer about from my former home so please allow
me to have this one .
