The main anchors (sort of so far) are DSW, Nike and Old Navy. There are 2 main anchor spots left to fill. All of the other stores we have in existing malls although there is another Disney store which is interesting.

Based on the list and what I have seen at other "outlet" malls. The latter will be the case.

It has been pretty well documented that the majority of merchandise in "outlet" stores is actually made specifically for that channel often to different standards than you find elsewhere for that same brand. These stores then have a small assortment of out of season or over runs of items meant for other channels.

I doubt that the Jack & Jones is confirmed since in the article talking about BESTSELLER they specifically said they would only open mono-brand stores based on sales of their specific brands (J&J is one of them).

Is there a Lacoste store in Winnipeg? I wasn't aware of one other than Harry Rosen.

Agreed, looking forward to it. Hopefully some sort of small grocery component.

this project should create over a 1000 jobs which is nice, because I am expecting atleast 40 stores and 20 employees per store atleast, also all the new save on foods locations should create tons of jobs as well...

they should also build a hotel and water park on this property

I wonder how this project will affect polopark and kenaston outlets

is there enough money in this city for all these retail stores,, or are they hoping to attract ppl from sask, Ontario and north Dakota?

Do any of them have groceries? I've only been to the Polo one and it's no different from Dollarama except that I find they have a smaller selection of useful things and eveything is a quarter more.

I assume the whole VW scandal will put the new VW dealership at Seasons on hold.

VW scandal was only for diesels, i'd have no issues buying one myself (escpicially if it's discounted a few $k.) also, no VW dealership is going to Seasons, it's Audi

Correct! It would be bad optics for a Quebec-owned chain to changed its locally established name for the same one used in other parts of North America.

But they could use the Circle K name if they wanted to. Though most people here don't know what Circle K is, so they might call it ''Dépanneur Circle K".

The Bargain Shop that it is replacing had a small grocery section - my hope is that the Dollar Tree has one as well.

Audi/Porsche/VW are all the same company and embroiled in the same scandal.

Edit: Conveniently timed article:

Quote:
Two of Volkswagen group's highest-ranking engineers will be forced to quit as the German carmaker is pushing steps to clear up the diesel emissions scandal, Bild reported on Thursday, citing unnamed company sources. Audi's R&D boss Ulrich Hackenberg, a long-time VW brand executive and Porsche's engine chief Wolfgang Hatz will be dismissed at a meeting of the supervisory board on Friday, the newspaper said.

Not disputing, but what I saw on paper was "Jack & Jones"
