Are there any plans or time lines to rectify the problems at the Alexander Docks?

It's a shame the space is not back in the public realm with a stop in this location for the river taxi...

Maybe it should be turned into a public marina for the summers...

Any thoughts on this? Maybe a city wide architectural charet sponsored by BIZ, CV, NPFDC and the city...

It was not adequately discussed or addressed in the East Exchange engineering study...

Very unlikely any marinas will be built until something is done to control water levels on the rivers. Even The Forks has given up on putting docks in. So have I.

I was hoping someone new the name of the old Marina on Pritchard Ave I believe. We always used to fuel up and have our boat pulled out thier for repairs. Miss those days but thiers probably few that would remember it or have used it? It's a different time on the Red, It'll never be the same..

There is nothing left on the site of Pritchard Boat Yard. It has been turned into a park.

A major piece in the North Winnipeg Parkway. Connects Michaëlle Jean Park to Burrows, which allows you to get under the Redwood Bridge to St. John's Park.

The List (former Ragpickers) is looking amazing. They completely fixed up the outside of the building including great new lighting for the whole building, hopefully the neighbours see how good it looks and get jealous. The inside's looking great too.

FYI this was one of the building's that applied for the repair grant. Del's Electric is moving along now, but I'm surprised deer + almond still hasn't started.

I seen on the Facebook last night that one of my elementary school buddies is now part owner. I'm looking forward to checking it out!

Sport MB expansion

It's been about a week or so, but the Sport MB building expansion has started. Construction equipment is on site, fencing is up and Marth St. is closed where the expansion is going over.

Fantastic series in the Free Press on river city - great visuals and video, and interesting ideas.

Does anyone think $1.9 is a bargain for 104 Princess? I wish to see this building redeveloped sooner than later.

Did it finally sell?

Also, I'm sure it has to have some major drawbacks with it or you'd thing it would've been developed alongside Fairchild. I be you no matter what happens with it they'll have to knock out bigger windows. It's an odd building.

EDIT: ^Referring to the add-on in the middle, not the corner building. Maybe a future developer would/could tear that part down and build a modern addition to complement the historic buildings.

You said it. A skinny glass tower in between 104 and the Fairchild lofts would be fantastic.
