Given that Ottawa finishes the season with a home and home against Hamilton (meaning a 4 point swing in the standings is possible for either team), I would say first place and hosting the eastern final is very much on the table. Those two games are going to be crazy. Basically playoff games happening in the regular season...

My gut feeling is we will finish second and host the Eastern Semi.

Either way it will be first playoff game (outside the Grey Cup with is pre scheduled) in Ottawa since something like 1983

Hamilton lost their first string Quarterback on Saturday, possibly a season ending injury and apparently the backup was an embarrassment.

I am a huge Cats fan and I think that does them in for the season. They will be lucky to get 3rd, depending on how their backups come along.

This helps Ottawa's chance of getting in, but I see Montreal finishing the season VERY strong now they have their starting QB back. If Ottawa can win their home games they should be okay to make the playoffs. I am not convinced they get a home game, hope they do cause I will go for sure!

The team will return to the capital on Monday. The team plane will arrive at the Avitat airport around 10:45 am. Players and staff will be bussed to Lansdowne from there. The team is encouraging fans to be at TD Place, where they're expected to arrive around 11:30 am.
A Grey Cup parade is set for Tuesday. Mayor Jim Watson tweeted the parade will start at 12:00 pm at the Pretoria Bridge.

It was definitely one of the best CFL games I`ve seen in a long time. Now I`m hungry for the Sens to make a run for the cup. I was still living in Toronto in 2007 so I haven`t had a team to follow deep into the playoffs in a while.

I dashed down from the office today at lunch to catch the parade, thinking it might be a sparse crowd due to the timing and the weather. Boy, was I wrong! Huge crowd lining several people deep -- great atmosphere. Ottawa was out in huge numbers. Just too bad I couldn't join the throng down at Aberdeen.

Went to the parade today at Lansdowne. Huge and happy crowd, flags waving, trumpets blowing, fireman on aerial ladders. It was pandemonium when the player floats arrived. Shook Jeff Hunt's hand as he walked along the edge of the sidewalk, nice touch instead of being with all the higher ups. Also shook many players hands on the floats including my favourite player of all, Greg Ellingson. John Gott had the Grey Cup and invited everybody to touch it, then after all the presentations, the Grey Cup was brought through the crowd. A young fella stood next to me looking so intense, filming everything and you could tell his thrill of touching the cup multiple times. Loved to see the different reactions of the players as they were introduced. The chant was loud and clear when Henry Burris was introduced "One More Year". Wonderful ending to a wonderful season.

Wow, not many football fans on this forum. The boys are taking on Hamilton (again) next Sunday in the East final, should be a good one. They always bring in tons of Fans from Hamilton but, luckily, there aren't many tickets left. Go Redblacks!
