Actually I was referring only to the curtain wall. Flynn are doing some, Royal are doing some of the ground level curtain wall, and then there is at least one other doing some of the curtain wall on the hotel portion.

I've been watching this corner all week and no sign of the cladding going up.

I have heard a rumour that there was an issue with the anchor locations for the cladding.

Zio- can you confirm if those curtain wall sections were unloaded at site? Usually loaded onto floors for installation. If they were not, this would indicate that the rumour may be correct

If the anchors are not in the right spot, it will take a lot of work to get this fixed

Halifax looks so small and quaint from above

Yep they were craned up onto the floors the days the trucks showed up.

Neat pictures. You can also see the rooftop patio of 1592 Barrington, the pit being dug for the Dillon, and the hollowed out lot in behind the NFB facade.

I think it's in the process of losing a lot of its quaintness. The parking lots on the sidestreets next to Barrington used to feel very "small town" to me, like the lots by Spring Garden, but they are mostly on their way out now.

The webcam appears to confirm they are still on site:

The curve on the front of the hotel is now clearly visible.

I'll put this question out to anyone, maybe ziobrop... but why are those beams painted out just on the last few feet like that, and the rest left untreated and rusty?

I think these ones are meant to be left exposed like you can see in the rendering. The rest will all be encased.
