That Vancouver proposal looks really nice in this more detailed rendering. Without that wood lattice work smoothing the inside curve it looked a little too rough for me. Now it looks incredible!

Would there be balconies behind the latticework?

"blend" means affordable. while i love these unique proposals they will come at a hefty cost. the problem vancouver faces is building housing downtown that can satisfy each demographic.
either way, i love seeing what non-local architects can come up with. it's quite refreshing.

Love the Vancouver proposal in that new render, didn't really care for it in the earlier small render.

Too conceptual to form an opinion. Very promising though.

I really like the Vancouver proposal. It's a bold design without going overboard and becoming tacky.

With some of the recent Vancouver proposals and projects like this, "the Jenga Tower", Vancouver House and the two towers for Nelson Street, I think our city is currently the most bold in Canada in terms of new architecture. It's so refreshing and about time! These projects will transform Vancouver to be a completely new city in 5 years time! So exciting times we live!!

Yeah, they'd look better if they were either grey/silver or brown wood like the rest of the tower, but damn, I can't remember the last time I was this impressed by a Vancouver proposal. Just awesome.

You must be thinking of the micro loft proposal by Reliance Properties, designed by NMDA.

And there's also this futuristic proposal by the same developer and architect.
