If you don't pay the $400 per night for the theme rooms though you end up in just a shitty, dated 80's era hotel room with a built in walk in shower that feels like a sarcophagus. My wife and I got stuck in one on a work trip and managed to change rooms to one with a less claustrophobic tub / shower combo. It's fun stumbling from 'Bourbon Street' back to your hotel room late at night, but the whole thing is still so awful it's surreal.

On the topic of run down theme parks, I'm amazed no one has posted any pictures from the Enchanted Forest. I revisited it a couple years ago longing to see the cool place from my childhood. It's kind of creepy seeing it today.

I guess that's where Molson is from...

At nighttime they come alive in search of human flesh.

I think I'll have to find my own pics because Google isn't bringing up images that show how truly demented it is in person.

Not the best of love hotels - a bit grungy - but no, we took a chance and are alive today.

Here are my own photos showing the freak show that is the Enchanted Forest outside Revelstoke BC.

It's so bad it's good. I'd recommend spending the $11 bucks or whatever to get in and check it out if you're ever in the area. The forest alone is worth it. They kind of ruined it recently with a stupid zip line area that was closed when I was there but it still has its charm. The ancient Cedar tree is amazing too.

It's older than that. I think it's from the 50's or 60's.

He was one of the creepiest of all the statues. He's right by the exit when you leave, inside a dark tunnel. Feels more like he's trying to keep you from leaving than begging for change or whatever he's supposed to be doing.

The enchanted Forest is a great place to get out and stretch your legs while driving, and let the kids run around. Mine certainly had fun. It's basically a display of various old nursery rhymes. Set in the forest on the side of a mountain.
