Does anyone have any rumours on what could be going into the Mall and in the Trinity drive area?

Also does anyone know when Moncton Chrysler will start construction on their new dealership?

And I reallly hope that Tagner Outlets and or Premium Outlets chooses Moncton as a possible location,

I know they where surveying the property for the new Moncton Chrysler Superstore this year I don't think they will start building till the spring at this point. as for the mall depends what mall you're talking about.

The mall I meant was Champlain Place.. And Hope they can start development on the new retail area close to Mapleton Center in back of the Four Points by Sheraton.

Sorry Stephan, aside from a couple of high profile retail projects (Cabela's, BPS), a couple of additions to the Mapleton Centre (DSW, Party City) and the new Sports Chek at the Northwest Centre, this is otherwise a slow year retail wise in the city.

In particular, things are slow at Champlain Place. We've become used to seeing any vacancies in the mall quickly filled up by increasingly upscale retailers. This doesn't seem to be happening any more. I presume the national retailers are taking note of the province's increasingly weak economy and are taking a pass on NB (for now).

In any event, the retail landscape in Moncton still seems a lot healthier than eldewhere in the province. Hopefully things will pick up next year........

Indeed, the place is rapidly coming together!

I was browsing their Facebook page earlier this evening. In response to an impatient future customer asking when the store will open, this was the response - "Very Soon! Check our Facebook page this week"

So, I'm taking this to mean that they will reveal their grand opening date later this week on Facebook. Stay tuned!!

Was speaking to someone who works there....They are having a press day in the next couple of days. in which they will announce there opening day....and fan fair. expect a article in the Times really soon, as well as other media. he was saying they are polishing up the inside and outside its all fine tuning at this point. I must say...there was a small army working at that place today.

Put your photo on a hosting site like Flickr, Photobucket etc.

Get the photos unique URL, paste it into your post enclosed between and you will be good to go.

It looks like the conversion of the former Target location at the Northwest Centre to Canadian Tire is beginning. The exterior cladding is starting to come off.......

It seems strange to me from when they (Canadian Tire) got the OK to take over some of the old Target spots Ti'll now unless they where in the planning stages all this time to try, and make it an easier renovation.

I did a reverse look-up of the image you've been trying to post, found the URL but haven't been able to find a way to post it directly for you (it might be because it's using an https server). In any event, I did a screen capture and put it on my photobucket account so that it could be posted here:

You should try either photobucket or imgur. These two sites make it easy to post your photos on on-line forums.

Nice photo BTW, it shows the progress at BPS really well.

I sent a email to Tagner Outlets to see what their feedback will be on the possible construction of an outlet center here in Moncton.

Also I cant wait to hear the news on tomorrow's press conference for Bass Pro Shops.

Does anyone know the possible opening date of the new Sports Chek at the Northwest Center.

Also can't wait what the future holds for the retail future of our fair City and I was thinking the location vacated by Panago could be filled up by a Five Guys or even Krispy Kreme.

I had heard a potential date for Sports Chek for mid September but that was a while ago. I'm all for a Five Guys in Moncton. I also hope we get one of multiple South St Burger Co. as well.
