My guess is that it is when the first of the large roof trusses will be raised into place... Or they will have a way for the public to walk through the middle of the bowl on a catwalk so that they can get a sense of the scale and grandeur of the space.

Maybe both, but it does tie nicely to the labour day game being played the following day. A lot of Rider fans will be around for it!

Well, in this day 'n age, if something actually is completed on time/budget, it's an outright miracle. The expansion of the U. of R. Laboratory Building was already $57 million overbudget during construction.

The weather this year certainly helped with construction.

This is good news though.

I assume the cladding is steel. I hope it is UV resistant. I find a lot of that metal can look shabby after 20 years in the sun.

I hope the "big" announcement is more than exterior LED lighting. This is already well known to be the case. Field, site and accent lighting, all LED.

I'm hoping it's a virtual tour of sorts, available to help season ticket holders and guests with the selection process.

According to a Rider tweet, the stadium will be over 55m from the field to top. So you could put the 19 storey Centre Point Plaza inside and it would be the same height.

A viewing area in Confederation Park will allow attendees a chance to watch a behind the scenes video tour of the site.

In a news release, Mayor Michael Fougere said, “We are very pleased to provide this opportunity to everyone interested in learning more about the construction of our new stadium and to make sure they get a photo of our iconic community facility as it is being built.”

A portion of Elphinstone Street adjacent to the construction site will be closed from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

More information on the sneak peak will be announced in the week before the tour.

I noticed the white roof trusses are quite visible from highway 11 driving in to the City. When that translucent roof gets lit up at night, it should be quite prominent on the skyline.

Biggest crane yet to arrive within the next few days. I believe this is the one that'll install the lateral trusses of the spectator roof.

I don't know. The cladding they're installing on the east looks pretty poor thus far.

I think your aforementioned crane has arrived; I'll bet it will be fully erected by early next week.

I think that was a joke after someone mixed up widescreen and windscreen. The main reason this will be so big is that the prices of these things falls dramatically every year. Although the low $ is probably now an issue.

The Dallas Cowboys video board has dropped down the list in the last few years.

Everbank Field (Jacksonville Jaguars) has a screen almost twice the size of Dallas'. As well, Texas Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and Churchill Downs all have larger screens than AT&T... Hmmm.
