Some pics in the rain today. A new Telus sign in the water feature on the Georgia Street side. I don't think they've got the lighting all done on that yet.
Also, it seems that the rain is able to run right off the outer edge of the arch and it creates a wonderful and refreshing wall of falling water that you can run through as you come and go from the plaza. It was just drizzling when I took these pics but under the edge of the arch it was pouring.

Are the protruding towel rack sun shade thingies really just placed at random locations? It doesnt make sense to me if this is really the case, though perhaps there is a reason for it. Or perhaps they have not finished installing the rest yet. As it is they are just adding to the over all hot mess on this side of the building. In my opinion.

It's a mystery. But it certainly isn't enough to deter the architect from putting his signature on the building. I noticed this HENRIQUEZ plaque today on the glass elevator in the plaza.
I'm amazed there are no gutters on the edge of the arch. As I saw yesterday in the steady rain, it creates a wall of falling water draining in a distinct line directly onto the plaza. Here are some closeups from today (no rain in these pics, though).
further to mcminsen's post...I was at Glowbal and could see that the patio gets the same effect from the rain. the majority of it is covered however right down the middle of the patio there is a waterfall of rain...a bit of a design flaw

It's easier to understand the placement of the louvres if you look at the original model with the wooden shades, which looked more cohesive.
The placement didn't translate well with the "dumbing down" because they don't stand out as much.
It'll look better when they install the ones that front the balconies.
Ahh - I thought that was more Glowbal space! (guess not?)
They're supposed to have a "cocktail lounge" too.
