Hard Rock has been closed for years now. The space has sat empty.
Im all for the translucent roof. But currently the roof structure has hundreds of steel trusses forming the underside of the structure. That would cause tons of shadows. They may have to replace the entire roof structure, not just the paneling.
This also caught my eye and was to be expected. The seats at Rogers Centre are quite narrow, and recent renos and BC Place and Commonwealth replaced the seats with wider versions cutting down capacity by a similar number. Capacity would be around 43 to 45 000.
•All stadium seats will be replaced. That project has also begun. Brooks said it may involve making the seats larger, which could result in the loss of 2,000 to 3,000 seats.
Also glad the rusted out stadium awning outside the stadium is getting taken care of.
replacement of the exterior stadium awning
No mention of addressing the concrete façade though.
PS. ACC videoboard looks great. Really glad they went with that version and not the long rectangular one seen in the states. The new ACC board is the perfect size.
