I know we are supposed to be known as the City of glass, but it looks more like the city of grey/tan concrete in this shot.

If I had the means, I'd build a condo tower in that area and call it "Waldo", just to make the point.

The first pic is during the height of the rainstorm this afternoon. Earlier, during the big winds I kept hearing loud noises coming from the condo tower, big booms and things banging and clanging. Haven't heard of any reports yet of stuff falling but I'm sure the crews are going to have some cleaning up to do on Monday.

Second pic was from Georgia Street after the wind but before the rain. Thanks to officedweller for the idea of the angle.

The office tower has been open for few months now, but the Telus sign on top is still not illuminated at night. Shame if it's going to remain dark.

I saw the edge of the protruding box (south side) lit up last night for the first time.
I think it was on well past midnight.

I've been seeing the protruding box edges lit up every night and all night now for at least a couple of weeks. It's hard to get a decent photo of but one thing that is very different from what I saw before is that they've dialled down the brightness quite a bit. It's prominent enough and easy to see but it doesn't light up the whole neighbourhood like it did before.

I'm dying to know what they're doing at the transition floors with all the scaffolding. Maybe more lit up edges?

And I just noticed today that they're finally getting the top row of zigzag glass installed on the Richards side.

Yeah, that was just the first time I had seen it.
The whole edge was lit (like a sideways "U") and I thought it was pretty bright.
