I don't mind it, though I think balconies would make it more inviting.

Kingston's private student-themed developments are actually the nicest new builds this city gets. New condos, offices, etc. tend to be crap.

Some examples: 1st and 3rd already built and look just like renders, 2nd and 4th are U/C.

45 Storey Proposal for the south west corner of Church and Gerrard. It has sort of a 70's vibe to it. It's only 491ft roughly 150m so doesn't make the top 50 list.

That would be the southeast corner of Church & Wood.

Decent looking proposal for King and Portland in Toronto. Well at least the podium. No it's no a facadism, it's all new.

Very retro 60s. Think Prii would give it two thumbs up.

Ya it is retro in a good way. It should work well with the new white tower that will go up on the same block. I expect a bit of a height reduction though or a huge donation to the school it will shadow.

Really nice vAncouver proposal. The corner looks like the bottom of a mushroom cap. I like it. Wonder if the rounded corners will be similar to what we're getting in Calgary with Brookfield Place?

And here's a new fly through video of Grimsby's AquaBlu Condos that's being built across the street from Lake House Condominiums.
Grimsby with a skyline of any sort is an interesting idea.

(Also that one render seems to make Toronto way to close.)

The Grimsby buildings are in an odd location. Obviously the lake is the selling feature but other than that they are in a field beside a highway with not much else around. Odd spot for condos IMO.

Very nice. What are the chances of it being built this cycle?

Looking on the BuzzBuzzHome map of DT Winnipeg, I don't see a lot of development happening, which is too bad. Winnipeg could easily have a downtown that only 3 other cities in Canada could match. All those historic buildings are priceless.

Not a fan of Pier 27 latest phase. The tower and the way it connects to the podium are okay. The podium's length, bulk and basic comes across as pure density filler.

601 Hastings doesn't look too shabby. The architectural flourishes are rather commonplace.

The rendering shows the corner similar to Western Canadian Place (? Gold twins) than Brookfield.
